Let Us Help You
With mechanical shoeing

**What is a Negative Palmar Angle in Horses?**

The palmar angle refers to the angle between the bottom of the coffin bone and the ground. Ideally, it should be slightly positive. However, when the angle is negative, it can lead to serious hoof and leg issues.

A **negative palmar angle** can cause:

🚩 Hoof pain and discomfort
🚩 Strain on tendons and ligaments
🚩 Reduced performance or lameness

**Why does it happen?**
It may result from improper trimming or shoeing, or conditions like poor hoof conformation. Recognizing and correcting it early is crucial for the horse's health and performance.

πŸ’‘ **Prevention and Treatment:**
Regular hoof care from a skilled farrier and veterinary consultations are essential. X-rays help diagnose the condition, and corrective trimming or specialized shoeing can help restore balance.

Is your horse showing signs of discomfort? Time to check those hooves! 🐴

We would be glad to help. (732)606-RIDE (7433)
Have a great day.
