New Arrivals from the Anti-Cruelty Society in Chicago. Three young South American Cavies. They are 6 months old, extremely thin and were kept in tiny crates. The previous owner, who was 80 years old could no longer care for her animals and relinquished them to the Anti-Cruelty Society. They are with the 4 we currently house, from a seizure a few years ago, in Boone County, Illinois. The 3 babies should gain weight rapidly and the original ones have welcomed them into their family. We at Valley of The Kings Sanctuary are looking for volunteers to help care for our feral and semi feral cats, year round. This is a wonderful opportunity for people of any age and especially rewarding for seniors. Our oldest volunteer Pat Scott who has been with us over 25 years will turn 84 years old in February. Pat drives here, from Beloit twice a week year round. Pats dedication to our ferals and her passionate love for them knows no bounds.
