It is with a very heavy heart and intense sadness to let everyone know our sweet, precious Tia crossed the Rainbow Bridge this morning.
Tia had been slowly going down hill the past few months, with old age issues and renal failure. She was 19 years old and came to the Sanctuary when she was just over a year old, from Georgia. Her young life was filled with photo ops, being exploited, and she suffered abuse, for that almighty dollar!
Tia was so sweet and loved all who spent time with her, giving her treats and spoiling her.
We are forever grateful for the two wonderful people who installed her air-conditioner. Tia was comfortable and in no pain.
She's now with all those gone before her and is with her beautiful Golden Tabby Tiger, Assam.
The void that will follow all of us with her empty enclosure will be heavy in all our hearts.
Please light a candle for Tia tonight and say a prayer for our sweet girl.

Two wonderful men will be installing urgent window air-conditioners in the morning for our high risk animals. Tia the tiger, the Savanna barn, Rasta our very senior Bobcat and in one of our feral rooms so cats can come down from the loft or from outside to cool off.
We Are Soooooo Grateful! What a relief!
Summers are getting hotter and Alaska had a heat advisory this past week, first tume in history! The brutal heat is a death sentence without relief, especially for old animals and elderly humans.
We want to purchase 3 big Generator's for our barns eventually. Or go solar. Should electric die in the heat or cold is something we always worry about. Definitely at the top of our bucket list. Our world has changed, with drought, low water tables, lack of snow here in the winter and hotter in the summer months.
It's so important to be prepared.
Thankyou everyone, you are Awesome!

Our workday last Saturday was a wonderful success, with an Awesome turnout! So much was able to be done and it was a very beautiful day ontop of it. We are extremely grateful for everyone who took part and breathed new life into the Sanctuary by making a huge difference.
The new catio area was cleared, new Emu stall filled with deep sand, weeds cut, pulled and hauled away, the cemetarys look Amazing, from the wonderful ladies that took on that project. Old fencing hauled out and put on a trailer to go for recycling. Old barrier fencing and poles removed.
Feral dens from winter stripped of straw and fresh blankets put in for Summer. Many other projects too.
It was a truly Amazing day and wonderful to meet new faces. Thankyou and God Bless you all!
