Waylon obtained his MH title last weekend in IN, trained and handled by Dale Swiderski (Hunter Rose Kennel) and owned by Nancy and Ryan Smith. Waylon is a Kane/Sunny pup and is now a 4xGMPR TC1 HRCH MH. Congratulations Nancy and Ryan that is a long list of accomplishments

Congratulations to 13 year old Hayden Falish who took controle of Kane and ran him in the amateur pointing division of the Packerland Upland Bird Dog Series this year finishing Dog of the Year. Hayden’s family has a Kane/Kandel pup and at 11 months Huk is coming along nicely. Looking forward to their future. Needles to say this young man is hooked. Welcome to the dog world Hayden.

This young man Hayden Falish (13 years old) stepped up this year in the Packerland Bird Dog Series and ran Kane in the amateur pointing division every competition performing a little better and showing more confidence placing third in one competition and today taking First Place. Hayden’s Dad purchased a Kane / Kandel pup and I’m sure next season will be running his own boy Huck.

A little pre Packerland hunt today with my son Brennan. Kane and I are running both the Packerland on Saturday and trying a new venue the Upland Challenge Series on Sunday both being hosted by North Oak Hunt Club. Both events are very similar two three bird set’s fastest combined times preferably with no faults wins.

We set out on some goals for 2023, Kane was able to get a couple of more finish passes with the HRC and also ran the Grand with perfect 2’s going into the upland only to break on the money bird, so close. In Kane’s first year of running AKC qualifying stakes he jammed in two out of four trials. We could not be more proud of this boy and give a huge thank you to Dale Swiderski Hunter Rose Kennel for his exceptional training and handling. Looking forward to 2024 with AKC qualifiers in site along with playing some run and gun games and just enjoying our boy.

The annual father son holiday hunt added a couple of grandsons this year Camden and Kannan had some fun chasing some chukars and watching Roxy and Kane do their thing.

A family photo the Kane and Kandel litter is now 8 months old from left to right mama Kandel and her son Wick along with sons Huck, Dawson and Daddy Kane all are progressing through training and will hopefully be representing the pointing labs in future hunt tests and competitions. What a good looking bunch

Had an amazing few days in IA with Andy; Ike, Otis and Kane. The dogs got a little tore up and Andy and I are pretty sore allot of walking for these old legs

Great weekend for team HRK at the Great Lakes HRC 12/12 started and 6/7 finished, loosing one to the start of her heat cycle. Kane picked up some more points headed for the Fall Grand.
