Happy Sunday after the Storm!

Raise your hand if you have dogs. Now raise your hand if you have dogs and at least twice in the middle of the night you woke up, cringing because you knew in the morning you we're gonna have to deal with MUDDY PAWS!! 🤪🤣😂 ME TOOOOO! (ugh... Things we do for dog love...)

The Bookshop will be open today from 9am to 3pm... ALSO TODAY, our Embroidery Queen Jenine will host our Subversive Stitching group from 3 to 5!!

If you'd like to get in on that, you can still register through our event listing here, on the website, OR just come on into the store and we will get you situated. It's nice to know in advance how many people we have coming, but it's also nice to have the flexibility for last minute friends to join us!

And just to clarify, we will have a break midway through for snacks and stretching and, no, you do not need to have prior experience. We have two levels that you can join. The higher price comes with a kit full of materials and the lower price gives you the flexibility to come join the sewing circle as many times as you want but bringing your own materials. Some of us appreciate the support and camaraderie we receive just by regularly being in the group.

I'm never going to get tired of reminding you that supporting small businesses like mine is a really big part of making sure that our communities keep their colorful personalities. I DON'T EVEN WANNA IMAGINE a Shawnee that doesn't have a ShananiGanns... or a Brothers Music KC... or a U Wash Puppy to GET RID OF MUDDY PAWS!

And if we want to KEEP these businesses that make us *unique*, we've got to get out and support them consistently. I SEE and APPLAUD all of you that keep making time and space in your budget for that to be possible. It is HUGE.... THANK YOU!

Whole heart appreciation too... To those of you who were flexible this past couple weeks because I have had quite the time with various shipping snafus that were out of my control. You've all been patient and understanding and I appreciate that so much because at various points it definitely had ME rattled!! Thank you for being easy going, go with the flow kind of folks... I HAVE THE BEST CUSTOMERS! I'd stack you up against customers from other stores any day... You are well-read and you have great personalities... ALL OF YOU!! 🤪💕

This weather has been bonkers but we loved seeing all those dirty puppies over the weekend! This sweet baby needed a little extra love from dad. So precious!

We will be open Thursday & Friday 12-7, Saturday 10-6, Sunday 12-5 and Monday 12-7. For the first time in over 10 years we are raising our self wash prices. All washes will be increased by $2. As much as we hate to do this (which is why we’ve held off for over 10 years) the pricing of everything we use in the shop has increased so much we can’t hold off any longer. We appreciate our clients and want to continue cleaning up those dirty puppies for another 30 years! Thank you for your loyalty & understanding!

Come see us today at the St. Patrick’s Day Moonlight market! We are booth space 19 facing city hall. The parade starts at 1 and there are duck races at 3:30! We have bandana’s, bow ties, collars, cologne and a wheel with fun prizes for you to spin! Don’t forget to wear green!
