We were established in 2002 as a full service veterinary hospital that caters to dogs, cats, and exotic pets in western Shawnee. We offer appointments but will welcome walk-ins and drop off appointments. Our services focus on preventative health care that includes wellness exams and vaccinations, parasite control, behavior and nutritional consultations, dental care, and senior blood work. We also

offer exotic animal care and exams, general surgery, internal medicine consultation, in house diagnostic testing, grooming, and boarding. We want to provide a “Home Away From Home” atmosphere and truly make each visit a pleasant and stress free experience for the pet and their owners. For this reason, the staff at MAH is committed to give our clients and their pets the most up to date medical care with a personal touch of love. We hope you feel this commitment from us when you visit and come to trust us with all of pet’s care and needs. We feel our Mission Statement says it all:

Memorial Day, the kick-off to summer for many of us and others the first of several outdoor activities. Whatever your plans are this holiday, don’t forget these safety tips to help keep your furry ones safe.

◾️ No to the barbecue bones. Having a BBQ? Make sure to not give table scraps, especially bones, to your pets.
◾️ Hiking or camping on the calendar? Don’t forget to pack a lot of water and have a suitable area for shade.
◾️ Fireworks? This beautiful blast of fun and noise can scare our furry ones. Make sure you have their ID tags up to date and they are microchipped.
◾️ Sunny Day? Unless you have sunscreen or insect repellent specifically made for animals, this can be toxic for pets. Watch for signs of drooling, vomiting, diarrhea, excessive thirst, or lethargy as this could be a sign of ingestion.
