Sophie is all set up at Solu for their Summer Market tonight until 8:00pm. Live music from 4:30-8:30. Stop by with your pups. She’s got a sample bowl. Beware the Solu dogs like to camp out in her space so she should be easy to find🐾♥️🍷

Less than three weeks until our first 2024 Farmer’s Market and Craft Fair! 🍷 Join us on June 28th for our first Farmer's Market and Craft of the summer with live music, delicious food and drink, and local products from our vendors!

We are holding a Farmer’s Market and Craft Fair on four Fridays this summer! June 28th, July 26th, August 30th, and September 27th! Featuring produce, handmade goods, artwork, and more! The market will be held on the last Friday of each month (June-September) from 4-8pm, our Friday live music will be at 5:30-8:30pm too! So come for some great live music and shop at our local vendors!!

So proud of this team. We took Shadow to the Midwest Horse Fair this past weekend. It could be a serious nightmare for a service dog but Shadow did very well. Crowds were so tight at times and I’d watch Shadow pack even tighter to Sophie’s side. Anyone that knows the 4H tack sale knows you can barely walk. Shadow somehow pulled off a low alert in that congested mess. We don’t tend to bring her in public a lot because it’s something Sophie didn’t like doing….Draw attention to herself. She’s starting to get over that and is pretty proud of her dog.

One major thing that NEEDS to be addressed is all these non service dogs vested up in high traffic public places. We had an incident with a very large dog in the coliseum that was vested and had its leash wrapped around its back end for control. The owner had no control and the dog dragged her to Shadow to go after her. Luckily I saw him coming and got out in front of it. Sophie was in the bathroom thank goodness. If a dog can’t walk on a leash I’d guess it had no specific task training to be there in the first place. Risking Shadow yet again because people want to bring their unruly dogs everywhere. It is our largest risk being out in public- other untrained dogs.

Overall we’ve got some things to work on. Shadow remembers our friends so to Sophie’s 4H girlfriends and a few friends of mine we apologize for the extra love but she’s just so darn happy to see you all😂🐾♥️

Who needs treats?

Sophie has a few orders - including Chickpea vs wheat flour for dogs with allergies.

She can drop off for all her loyal Oh Rats Barn Hunt customers at the trial this weekend if needed.
