We need people to understand this visual reminder and the need to help support your local shelter. The Humane Society of Sheboygan County (HSSC) does not receive any tax dollars to support our services. We survive soley on donations from you.

We work on a managed intake system here at HSSC. We haven’t had to turn away strays from Sheboygan County yet, but we do have to create wait lists for surrendered animals from time to time. This is why we are a managed intake with appointments required. We can coordinate new intakes much more efficiently and somewhat control our population.

Please consider a donation to help us! We are 100% donation based and do not rely on any tax dollars to fund our services. Make a one time donation or become a constant companion by giving a monthly amount of $5 or more to help us care for these precious animals.

Someone drove through our building this morning. Thankfully we were not there as I am camping in Door County. People are boarding it up and I won’t know anything until I get back on Monday. Not a good morning wake up call.

A 14 year old lady isn’t meant to spend her final years in a shelter. Elaina was abandoned and while that is sad for ANY animal, it is extra sad for her because she loves people SO much! Elaina wants love so much and she has all her love to give on return. Looking into her eyes is equally heartbreaking and touching. She is loved by many at the shelter but wants to be with a family or person of her own. Elaina does well with kiddos but would like to be the only dog in the home. Please come to meet her at the Humane Society of Sheboygan County!

🫶This old boy is Maximus! He’s 10 years old and could really use a loving home to spend his senior years in.

❤️Maximus is FIV+ and on a prescription diet for renal insufficiency. There is no charge for his adoption fee.

😻Our volunteers are smitten with him - they say he’s a real sweetheart and always snuggles right into them.

We are no longer taking any new doggie clients at this time for baths or haircuts. We are currently booking out end of April. Please schedule your Spring haircuts asap! Thank you! We still offer our walk in nail trims for $10 for all pets.

Ready to hire! Outdoor cats AKA Barn cats are ready and waiting to assist with your extermination needs. They are willing to work in barns, warehouses, large garages, other exterior buildings, etc. All they require is someone who will provide food, water, and shelter. What an easy employee! If you are interested in adding a rodent exterminator to your staff, but not to your payroll, fill out a Barn Cat application on our website! Barn cats have a $0 adoption fee!

We need your help. Kitten season is not ending! We are running out of bowls. We have never had this many cats & kittens in our care and need additional bowls. We have taken in so many that need medical care or come in with ringworm, so we are isolating and treating them to become healthy for adoption. It is straining our resources.
