Last week, we put out a call for help, hoping to gather some dog and cat food for our Companion Animal Assistance Program (CAAP). Little did we know how incredible the response would be! Your generosity has filled our shelves and our hearts. ❤️

CAAP is dedicated to helping pet owners in need, providing food for furry family members. This program ensures that people facing tough times can keep their beloved pets close—offering peace of mind and companionship during difficult moments. Together, we’re keeping families whole. 🐾

We need people to understand this visual reminder and the need to help support your local shelter. The Humane Society of Sheboygan County (HSSC) does not receive any tax dollars to support our services. We survive soley on donations from you.

We work on a managed intake system here at HSSC. We haven’t had to turn away strays from Sheboygan County yet, but we do have to create wait lists for surrendered animals from time to time. This is why we are a managed intake with appointments required. We can coordinate new intakes much more efficiently and somewhat control our population.

Please consider a donation to help us! We are 100% donation based and do not rely on any tax dollars to fund our services. Make a one time donation or become a constant companion by giving a monthly amount of $5 or more to help us care for these precious animals.

Someone drove through our building this morning. Thankfully we were not there as I am camping in Door County. People are boarding it up and I won’t know anything until I get back on Monday. Not a good morning wake up call.

🫶This old boy is Maximus! He’s 10 years old and could really use a loving home to spend his senior years in.

❤️Maximus is FIV+ and on a prescription diet for renal insufficiency. There is no charge for his adoption fee.

😻Our volunteers are smitten with him - they say he’s a real sweetheart and always snuggles right into them.

🐾Maximus is available for adoption at the Humane Society of Sheboygan County. Stop by and meet him this week!

We are no longer taking any new doggie clients at this time for baths or haircuts. We are currently booking out end of April. Please schedule your Spring haircuts asap! Thank you! We still offer our walk in nail trims for $10 for all pets.

Ready to hire! Outdoor cats AKA Barn cats are ready and waiting to assist with your extermination needs. They are willing to work in barns, warehouses, large garages, other exterior buildings, etc. All they require is someone who will provide food, water, and shelter. What an easy employee! If you are interested in adding a rodent exterminator to your staff, but not to your payroll, fill out a Barn Cat application on our website! Barn cats have a $0 adoption fee!
