🐾 Happily Ever After: Diesel's Journey 🐾
A brave dog named Diesel was surrendered to the Humane Society of Sheboygan County. Diesel had a rough start — he didn’t get along with other dogs, and his time at the shelter was filled with anxiety. But Diesel had a heart full of love, and he was playful, loved his tennis balls, adored belly rubs, and couldn’t resist a good treat. 💙
As the days turned into weeks, Diesel’s anxiety grew, but then came a guardian angel — his foster dad, Matt. Five years ago today, Matt stepped forward with patience and compassion, and slowly but surely, Diesel began to trust again. Four months later, Matt adopted Diesel, and they’ve been inseparable ever since.
A year ago, Diesel surprised Matt by turning into a water dog! Matt never saw it coming, but now Diesel LOVES wading around on the beach, splashing through the waves with pure joy. 🌊🐾
Today, Matt sent us these heartwarming photos and videos of Diesel — now happy, confident, and thriving. Diesel has accepted not only Matt’s love but also a new dog sibling AND even a Jacob (breed) sheep ram lamb! 🐶🐑
Matt and Diesel's story is a true testament to time, love, and the power of patience. 💖

Pork Chop is a 1.5 year old pup in need of a home! He was surrendered due to not being good with the other dog in the home.
Pork Chop is a fun loving boy, who needs a quieter home so he can let his guard down and relax. Indoors he is a big ol’ lap dog. He is strong, higher energy and has shown signs of dog reactivity and barrier aggression. He would benefit greatly from continued training.
The shelter has been an incredibly stressful environment for him. Unfortunately his current foster will not be able to house him until November 15th, so we are desperate to find him another home- whether it be foster or even better- his furever home.

We are excited to announce that Tommy's Express Car Wash in Sheboygan chose us to be their charity of choice for donations from their Tunnel of Terror from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 19th.
For $20 you get a full car wash and as you drive through get scares and thrills and a clean car. If you are a member you get to come for free. Every car that goes through The Tunnel of Terror, Tommy's Express Car Wash will donate $2 to the Humane Society of Sheboygan County to care for the over 2,500+ animals that come into our shelter doors in need of refuge.

Adopt Stella!
😞Do you remember Stella from a while back? She’s unfortunately been in and out of the shelter over the last two years for one reason or another. She just hasn't been able to find her true forever home!
🐾Stella is pretty low maintenance. She's 4.5 years old and only 28 lbs. She has a decent amount of energy, but nothing a little playtime can’t fix! She’s not much of a walker - she has what’s called a luxating patella, which essentially means her kneecap moves around in its socket. Sometimes she starts to limp, but for the most part it doesn’t bother her. She just likes being carried around like the little princess she is!
👓She also has some vision impairment, but it doesn’t seem to slow her down. She just doesn’t like to be snuck up on.
🫶She tends to get overwhelmed while walking on a leash, both when seeing people and other dogs. She doesn’t always get along with strangers, so a quiet home that doesn’t see much traffic would be perfect for her! She needs to be the only dog in the home, and a child-free home as well due to her preference for quiet.
🐶Can you give Stella the happily ever after she deserves? Come meet her at the humane society!
