Her training is often outdoors at her place or at the client's home. She started training her own dogs in 2000 and worked outside the home, with a full-time job. In 2010 she took an interest helping more dogs, and she learned much from hands on experience. She picked up books and learned. In 2018 she took a leap and started her business Mecca's All Breed Dog Training. With learning and hands on experience she started her journey. She has helped many clients and their dogs. She continues to learn from other experts in the field from all over the world. Supreme Member of Association of Professional Dog Trainers since 2018. Completed the Master Course Aggression in Dogs 2022 and every year does her best to attend the AID Conference. Continued her education and successfully earned Certified Family Dog Mediator (FDM) L.E.G.S. Applied Ethology Mediation Professional Course and she continue to add this into her training as she works with clients. She trains outdoors from Spring to Autmn and then converts to online. She goes to client's home when the coaching sessions need to be there. She understands reactivity and is currently in studies C.B.A.T.I - KA (Pending) Certified Behavior Adjustment Training she knows it is a work in progress. Using positive reinforcement training with a holistic approach to working with animals. She is very observant to a dog's body language and does adjust training when needed. She feels no dog should feel uncomfortable or forced.

My packages offer midweek follow ups, which must be scheduled when we start the package. Multifaceted is a value with all that is in the package, including an invitation to my private Facebook group.

Behavior Modification plans are tailored to your dog and this can take time. When changing a behavior, the dog needs time to learn. I always recommend the Initial Consultation to get started. Then a package plan can be purchased. Behaviors that have been rehearsed have been learned well.

A dog's body language is important, is all training set ups you will learn more about your dog. A dog may see a stranger and start barking. This is not a time to ignore, what the dog is saying. It's a time to question yourself at what just happened? What was different about this person? Dogs can pick up fear from a person.

Online zoom consultations can be scheduled 24 hours in advance. This is good for when you have a question.

Crating the dog is not the answer.

Today I took this dogs meal and split it up. First I used scatter feeding which gave her the opportunity to search for her food, the other half I put into a cardboard tube.

This provided good mind stimulation.

Dogs in shelters were once puppies then as they grow up behavior problems show up. So often dogs are surrendered because of behavior issues.

As I train dogs, I find what will be best for the dog. I believe in empowering the animal.

Georgia Peach 🍑 is very sensitive when her paws are touched. She becomes fearful 😰.

With an unknown past history, she may have had a bad experience 😕 or maybe never had the opportunity of her paws being touched when she was a puppy. I will never know, but I do know as her trainer, I will find what works best for her.

I trained her to "scratch" on cue. She now participates in her nail trimmings.

I didn't have to hold her down, against her will. I didn't need a muzzle. I worked with her and trained her in steps.

People often struggle with a dogs care, because of fear 😨 in the animal. Communication can go far.

Georgia Peach 🍑 is very sensitive with her paws being touched. I've been working with her on touching her paws. My goal as a dog trainer is to find what will work best with the animal. I don't want to cause stress or fear. Georgia Peach 🍑 gets excited and is food motivated. My first set up, I used the verbal reward marker "yes" which she understands, pay is coming. I put scratch on cue and continued training. She is excited during this set up. Next set up, I will use duct tape. She is really putting pressure on the sandpaper. Once I've completed repetitions on the front paws and proofed it. The next stage is to use a board laying flat on a surface with sandpaper and train her for her back paws, using a different cue just for her back ones. Dogs can think and learn without fear. I've been acclimating Rascal to the nail dremmel. My goal is for a walk with no clicking sound on the floor. From my observations, I think a little more off his back left paw 🐾 will fix what I'm hearing. Using treats and a LickiMat during set ups for nail trimming, I'm building a positive association. Rascal moves about, I've learned about him since I've started his training. It's a learning step for all dogs 🐕 they are not born with a leash attached. This session will help him to LEARN what I would like for him to do. I noticed he is sliding, the surface is slippery. Placing a rug down can help him too. Session's can be short and he will soon understand, I want him to sit when I put the leash the leash on. If a dog 🐕 has difficulty sitting, then a calm standing position is acceptable too. Dogs 🐕 do let us know, when something is uncomfortable for them. #meccasallbreeddogtraining
