Second show for us CNYRHA - Central New York Reining Horse Association was another success!💫

Alexandra Govoni and Platinum V***n 💁‍♀️won the rookie 1&2 Saturday and the rookie 1 Sunday. With some clean rides in the green Reiner!

Madi Lannon and Smart Royale Pepto 👑had their showing debut together and Madis first reining show ever wound up a 68 Sunday!

Rose N Whizkey 🥃🌹continues make a foundation for his show career with a second in the green horse with Jill.

Our Maine friends Dawn Beaulieu,@ Heather Wilson- Labbe, and Meek joined us for this outing and had some smoking runs and great improvements.

Jill and The Devil Wears Prada 😈👠 owned by Carly Reyna Ostrander made their show debut this weekend. This is the first time this horse has ever been shown. Prada pulled checks every run she made with a second in the novice 1&2 Saturday and a 71.5 in the open Sunday for a second in the limited, intermediate, and open. Officially making this sweet mare an NRHA money earner. Thank you Zach Stanton for all the good work you did on this special horse!

We also got to pick up our buckles for the 2023 season on the great Sugar Spangled Whiz, one for his owner Kate Kamburelis and one for Jill!

First horse show of the season is on the books at Keystone Reining Association

Carly Reyna Ostrander and Call Me a Cab won both their classes sat& Sunday with a 70.5. Along with steady wins in the Ranch all weekend. This was Guinnesses first NRHA outing!🍺

Jillisa smith and Pale Face Whizard 🪄🔮won the non pro ranch rail Saturday, pulled a check with Jill in the novice horse open with a 70 Sunday and with jillisa with a 70.5 in the non pro.

Whizky Black Diamond 💎🖤 owned by Nora Trombley got schooled Saturday in prep for her season and was a pretty 71 in the open Sunday with Jill!

Ole reliable Sugar Spangled Whiz owned by Kate Kamburelis 🤎coasted around the novice horse open getting prepped for his owner! This horse is one of our favorites and the funnest to have on the road.

Smart Sara Roos owned by Rozlyn Cummings showed she’s about as solid as they come for Jill marking a 71 in the novice 1&2 Saturday for 2nd, 71 in the O/int/LO Saturday for second, and a 71 in the novice horse 1 for the win and novice horse 2 for a tie for first.

Super proud of our young horses who tagged along for some seasoning- Frozen Concoction 🧊owned by NEPH and Peptos Red Savina 🌶️ owned by John Gagnon getting ready to be show horses!

Thank you Madi Lannon for your hard work. We head out next weekend with a completely different set of our horses to CNYRHA!

Spring projects are well under way here! 🌸🌷

Our training horses(and boarders) going out everyday that is possible is a huge part of our day to day here. We firmly believe it helps all aspects of the training and well being of the horses in our program and care. However, there certainly is a balance with performance horses on how to turn them out safely. If you live in New England, it’s likely you can relate to the many days that make you feel like you’re actually a mud farmer.

Justin spent the last few weeks working on paddocks adding drainage and new footing. This should optimize the days outside and the quality of turnout for all our horses here.

🔹Looking for an individual able to work part time (one weekend morning, Tuesday and Thursdays are the current preferred days)
🔹job duties include: stalls, general chores, some grooming/tacking & helping trainer. Room to grow, learn, and ride for the right person. A true team player. We will put into to you what you put into us.
🔹 the right individual will have their own transportation, a strong attention to detail, willingness to work and

This is a very busy training facility where high quality attention of our horses is non negotiable.

Awesome weekend at Keystone Reining Association!

Whizky Black Diamond 💎 🖤 owned by Nora Trombley won the Open, Intermediate open, limited open, and tied rookie professional Saturday with Jill Haas Slysz

Jillisa Smith and Pale Face Whizard 🪄 won the level four and one non pro derby Saturday!

Alexandra Morency and Smokin Hot Tatertot 🔥 were🤏 this close to winning the green Reiner derby Sunday in a deep class and a second in the green Reiner Saturday! Not to mention great runs in the ranch riding.

Both Playin In Rio 🤍 and Whizky Black Diamond 💎 pulled checks in the open Sunday!

Back to work tomorrow 🤠

We’re back from our third show of the season and home for a few days before we leave for our next! This time of year is always a hustle. But watching our clients and horses get better is worth it! So proud of our humans and horses for the horse people they are and ones they’re becoming.

Lock N Load Hangten “Gator” 🐊 is a ten year old AQHA gelding. Finished Reiner. Puppy dog personality. Has a great trot and would really excel in the ranch horse/ ranch riding. Is a super safe horse. Not spooky, good everywhere he goes. Could easily become someone’s go to weekend horse or family horse. Has been used for lessons, green Reiners, and the husband trail horse. Gator is entirely sound. Easy keeper. He does crib, managed with a collar. Good home a must for this sweet sensitive guy!

Coming back into work after winter vacation so does not have his sliding plates on at this time. Located in Shelburne Falls, Ma.

We woke up this morning to go do chores, at our barn that is full of happy horses and kind clients. To be greeted by a staff that willingly comes in on holidays with a smile on their face.

It has been just over two years since we purchased this farm. Two years ago I leased out of a 16 stall barn. Five and a half years ago I rented a block of 6 stalls. 7 years ago I had a few horses in training and did as many lessons as I could stomach. 8 years ago I had one horse in training for free and worked full time with this dream as a mere image in my imagination.

Sometimes it’s just too easy to get stuck and tunnel focus on what’s in the barn, how the horses are riding, what’s next, how can we be better, and how are we going to get it all done.

Today we got the opportunity to stop and be thankful for all we have accomplished. For all the fullness in our lives. We got to sit and look through some old pictures of all the hard work and progress we’ve made over these past two years.

I’m hopeful that all our friends, clients, and family get the opportunity today to pause from the what’s next and be grateful for the what is. Because I bet you’ve dreamed about it and worked for it all too.
