Cookie showcasing her regained freedom from her Quad cart😍 Cookie is an adorable mixed breed who has been suffering from osteoarthritis and Intervertebral disc disease (IVDD) which has hindered her mobility. But now at the age of 14 she is able to wonder her way over for lots of treats and love again!
Customer review: My wife and I just purchased a rear wheel cart from Eddies Wheels. We had previously purchased a Best Friend mobility cart from Amazon. (It was a nightmare.) We tryed many times using it to no avail. We could not get our dog Takoda to use it. Our vet recommended eddies wheels.com. All their products are amazing. They are made in house right there in Massachusetts. We called them first to speak with them about possibly bringing our dog Takoda to them to make sure the measurements were correct. ( It is worth the trip)( They are custum built to fit them properly.) We went there to meet with the team and they were all as amazing as their products. True animal lovers. Friendly, knowledeable, and just great people. We ordered the cart and when we came back to pick it up Takoda was put in the cart and immediately he LOVED IT. He was so happy, and so were we. He was running all over their property and was back to his old self. We are all so happy and Takoda has a second chance at a happy life.
Meet the most adorable little cutie, Tallulah! She was tragically crushed by a recliner leaving her paralyzed in the rear end but she doesn’t let that bring her down! Everybody at the shop definitely fell in love with this little lady due to her playful demeanor and heartwarming looks. We look forward to seeing Tallulah and her owners again in a few weeks when they come to pick up her custom wheels. Based on how her try on went, we know she will be a little hot wheel on the run 🐾❤️
Todays V.I.P is another unique and unfortunate story of mobility loss. Meet Toby Diego, a beautiful boy who fell from a third floor balcony and had surgery on his back before ultimately buying an Eddie’s Wheels cart. Toby loves his wheelchair, running in the yard and going to the beach. This was definitely a more rare occurrence for cause of mobile loss but his owner report that his spirit seems like nothing ever happened.🐾💙
While conducting a review of old emails, I discovered some delightful content that unfortunately remained unpublished. Today's Very Important Puppy (V.I.P.) is Brody, a charming Boston Terrier who received his new set of wheels last year. The scenery in the content is vast, showcasing the adventures and enjoyment that Brody was able to experience with the aid of his mobility device. Brody is truly an endearing pup, and it is heartwarming to see him explore with confidence and ease!
Kasee, a staffie mix with mobility challenges, had a measurement appointment for a custom wheelchair today. Her IVDD has not dampened her spirits, as she remains a sweet and loving dog. While her external nervousness can be a hindrance, her owners report that she enjoys running and playing. We are excited to see Kasee thrive once her custom wheels are ready for her to take on new adventures!
🐾Customer review:🐾 “We got our wheelchair recently and I wanted to let you know it’s a huge hit! It took a couple of days for Tonto to get it figured out but he LOVES it! We are so impressed with the quality and ease of use! It’s the best thing and has greatly improved his quality of life already.” -These videos showcase Tonto's handsomeness and confidence as he uses his cart to regain independent mobility. His owners are thrilled and have been taking him on multiple walks daily, attracting admiring glances and conversations from passersby.
Meet Osiris, a 232 pound English Mastiff who we built a cart for a little while back! This is definitely one of our largest builds and it is so wonderful to get to see an update on how he’s getting around. The owners report that he is making great progress with his wheels and we couldn’t be more happy 🤩❤️
Here is a brief video showcasing Jersey, a beautiful Pomeranian with a distressing history. We were motivated to share this story after receiving a message through our social media email since it diverges from the typical cases we encounter. Jersey sustained injuries approximately eight years ago when he was attacked by another dog, resulting in lasting mobility issues. Nevertheless, his owners affirm that he has been utilizing a cart ever since and it does not hinder his enthusiasm. In fact, he has gained recognition in their former community and is now contentedly living in England, regularly taking strolls down the street. Although this is an unfortunate situation for any pet and owner, we believe it is essential to share this story to highlight the diversity of circumstances where a cart can be advantageous.
Time for another customer review/update!
Meet Lulu, an absolutely stunning beagle/shepherd mix who is 12 years old! Lulu recently received a rear wheel cart as she suffers from IVDD that has come with compacted discs, lack of blood flow, and feet dragging along with other unfortunate symptoms. Lulu was able to try her wheels for the first time on Monday and we have received such a heartwarming and wonderful update today. Lulu has been receiving acupuncture, laser/light as well as hydrotherapy through a local rehab of theirs and has been nothing short of a warrior throughout the whole journey! Lulu has been learning to navigate her cart without issues and her owners have even learned how much of a help it can be throughout her therapy appointments! This truly is such an inspiration getting to hear all the positive updates from her owners and we hope for nothing but continued success
Bebe, a gorgeous senior canine who is 13 years old. Bebe has been experiencing loss of use in her rear legs and her owners took her in with us for a measurement appointment in hopes of getting her more mobile. I would like to use this beautiful girl as an example of small quirks that may go unnoticed. As demonstrated in the videos when we put her in a trail cart, Bebe walks with her front legs very close together and makes a cross over pattern with her legs as well. This can be caused by numerous issues such as injury, osteoarthritis, improper bone alignment, spinal issues and many other things. Due to this we opted to build a quad cart after further discussion with her owners about how she has been doing at home. Bebe seemed to still be uncomfortable and possibly even painful while moving around in a rear wheel cart. Our quad will allow her to have full weight taken off all 4 limbs to help her get around a little better on her own without having discomfort or pain, which we hope will allow her to rebuild muscle while recovering from the compensation of her joints from the time she has spent without the help of an aid. We hope to hear great updates once she has her wheels as Bebe is such a happy and gentle lady, we wish her nothing but success and comfort for her future.
Meet Marlo, a charming Labrador Retriever who has unfortunately experienced a spinal stroke. Spinal strokes in dogs share similarities with those in humans, resulting in symptoms such as loss of coordination, paralysis, incontinence, and collapse. Larger breeds are more prone to spinal strokes, with symptoms subsiding within 24 hours in some cases, while others may result in lasting paralysis. Marlo retains some mobility in his limbs, as demonstrated by his unique 'bitter patter' walk. It was a pleasure to meet this handsome dog and observe his movements. With the aid of a cart, Marlo shows great potential for improved mobility and coordination.
