I’ve been working on this horse for a few weeks now and even though I always get tension releases from him, (licking, chewing, yawning, etc) this is the first time I’ve seen him go “deeply internal.” I have been waiting to see this, this horse is a busy body and he’s constantly fidgeting. I finally saw the results I was wanting today.

This is what a horse in its parasympathetic state looks like, when in a truly relaxed state the body slows down breathing and heart rate while increasing blood flow to the intestines, liver and the rest of the digestive tract.
Horses are almost always using their sympathetic nervous system, which is basically their “fight or flight” physical response. The PNS is basically the state in which the body is intensely healing and recuperating. When hooked up to the Acuscope & Myopulse I see horses go “internal” all the time! It is incredible to see what their bodies are capable of if given the chance and a little noninvasive stimulation from my instruments!
This is what I strive to achieve in my program!

I received the best news today! My Acuscope has been repaired and I’ll have it back very soon, so I will begin taking appointments again!
ALSO starting is June I should be able to take on some longer term horses as I’ll have a few stalls! So any of those horses needing longer rehabs will be able to stay with me!

So many exciting things going on plus a trip home to MT this summer (probably in June)

To all my clients, my Acuscope was damaged this morning and isn’t functional right now. I’ll be sending it in ASAP to get fixed and I won’t have it for awhile. It’s been a tough day.

BryAnna Haluptzok makes the first sub-15.00 second run at Rodeo Austin to take over the lead after just two performances. It is a 14.97 that took her to the top of the leaderboard with a 15.02 being the next fastest time.

Did you know that the ATS Acsuscope has both feedback and therapeutic functions, it actually provides auditory and numerical readouts which indicate the locations where tissue is damaged and unhealthy. Once abnormal areas are located, the ATS- Acuscope can then treat the tissue according to its needs. An experienced therapist can interpret the sounds and numbers which reflect the amount of conductivity passing through the tissue between treatment probes and can determine a course of therapy based upon these readings.

Day 3 of treatment for this super cute little head horse! His owner wanted a fall touch up done after a busy summer so he can be comfortable all winter.

He presented with some soreness in his shoulders (which isn’t unusual for rope horses) so I did a brachiocephalic treatment on him today. I placed an electrode on an acupressure point near his poll and at the point of his shoulder for this treatment.

If you can’t tell, I think he enjoyed it! I missed videoing all of his very aggressive yawning 😂

Did you and your equine partners have a long summer? With plenty of runs, work and perhaps even injuries we have a tendency to want to turn them out for the winter and let them be. But, have you ever considered having those therapies done on them BEFORE you let them have time off in the winter? Have you considered that getting everything taken care of before that time might make their come back in the spring that much easier on their bodies and reduce stress on any old injuries.

I’m planning on coming to Havre for a few weeks this fall to work my horses in the barn and do some treatments. Get your equine partners taken care of BEFORE that long break this winter! Give their bodies an extra jump start before the long, cold winter months!

How Does It Work?
The Electro Acuscope establishes a two-way communication between its computer circuitry and the area of the patient's body being treated. It measures such things as tissue conductivity which is generally very low in an area of pain. It treats by introducing a gentle current in waveforms similar to the body's own electrical currents. This increases the electrical activity of the affected tissue so that the cells can begin the work of self-repair.

During treatment, the Electro Acuscope introduces mild electrical currents into the cells of the body in order to return the tissue to a normal level of electrical activity. This process may be likened to a "jump-start" and "putting a charge" on the battery of a car. In this way, the instrument assists the body in accelerating the natural self-healing processes.
In addition to providing the body with beneficial electrical currents, the treatment causes the body to produce its own natural pain reducing chemicals called "endorphins." The immediate pain relieving results of an Acuscope treatment may therefore be considered an electro-chemical response occuring in the involved area at a cellular level.
