We are hiring for a full time position!

We are looking to add an animal loving receptionist to our team. The person we are looking for must be compassionate, have a positive attitude, and posses excellent customer service, communication and computer skills. Having good critical thinking, problem solving skills, and the ability to follow through in a busy environment is necessary as well.
Responsibilities will include scheduling appointments, processing payment transactions, over the counter sales, and maintaining medical records. Other tasks will be assigned as necessary.
Wage will be based on experience.

Summer is here and the heat has dried out the grass rapidly. Now is time to pay extra close attention to your active outdoor pets.
🌾☀️🐾
Spearhead grass seeds (pictured below) and foxtails can pose a serious problem for your furry companions. Grass awns are commonly collected and found between your pet’s toes, in their ears, and under their armpits. Dogs that like to eat grass frequently can have them embedded in the back of their throat, between their teeth and even sniff them up their nostrils. Over time, these embedded grass seeds can work their way through the skin causing abscesses, and in more severe cases even migrating into the lungs and other vital organs.

As a preventative for medium and longhaired dogs, keep the hair between the toes, ears, and belly trimmed, as the grass awns attach more easily to long hair. Be diligent, and be sure and inspect your dogs after going on a hike, camping, going to the river or lake, or simply exploring an area where there is dry grass. After they have been around dry grass, be sure and groom them carefully and thoroughly check between their toes, in their ears, armpits, and groin areas.

To keep your pets safe at home, we recommend removing foxtail plants from your yard and to have the lawn mowed before it has the chance to head out. For dogs that like to eat grass, it is best to leash walk them in areas that to not have a lot of dry grass present.

Do you find yourself bored and in need of something fulfilling for not only yourself, but those around you? Come volunteer with us! Flexible shifts, take as many or as few as you want that works with your schedule. You can help with teaching our four legged loves manners or just spent time soaking up the love they exude.
