Kong toys filled with peanut butter, or any other fillers, are great enrichment toys for shelter dogs. They act as a puzzle that keeps them occupied for a prolonged period.

We also have a need for leashes, collars, blankets and p*e pads in the shelter. Martingale collars are a type of dog collar that can be beneficial for dogs that are prone to pulling on the leash or slipping out of their collar. They can also be a good choice for training dogs.

Hi, there, I’m Kyoto! Don’t let my gray snout fool you- I may be on the older, but I have plenty of life left in me! I’m really just a distinguished gentleman looking for love. My human passed away on Christmas Eve and even though I still have a little bit of a broken heart, my foster mom says I’m doing great! My favorite things are to snuggle on the sofa in a warm blanket and just snooze the day away! I really love to lounge! She tried to put me in one of those kennels, but I didn’t like it too much and I’ve done great out on my own in the house since! And, I’m a good boy because I only use the bathroom outside. I get along great with other dogs and I love kids! Anyways, I would love to find a forever home to spend my golden years. Foster mom and dad have never heard me bark, but I am vocal when I want some attention- who can blame a guy?! I’m about 65 lbs but foster mom calls me a gentle boy and lets me know that I’m the sweetest, goodest boy out there!

Buddy is a very playful and adventurous 1yr old schnauzer mix! With lots of love and care from the staff at CCAS he was able to recover very well from a wound he had upon arrival... These two adorable siblings were brought into the shelter a few days ago by a good Samaritan. They are roughly 7-9 weeks old, eating food on their own, and awaiting their forever families!

Thanks to an amazing foster family, these sweet babies have learned how to sit, are crate and house trained, and are starting to walk on a leash better and better every day! they're very mellow pups who do well with kids' other dogs and cats! who wouldn't want these two pups! give us a call or send us a message to schedule your meet and greet with these two.

This Adorable love bug is Mr. Trigger, he is a very sweet but nervous border terrier mix. He's 3 years old and has some interest in toys but hasn't fully come out of his shell yet. He knows basic commands and is house-trained. He would make a great family pet, other animals don't seem to bother him as he walks by others, but we recommend bringing your current pet to meet to see how they do before deciding to adopt. This handsome boy deserves a loving home and a person to snuggle.

Hi, I'm Chase! I currently live at Cleveland County Animal Shelter, but I'd rather be on a couch snuggled up with an amazing person like you!

When I arrived at the shelter, I had some injuries and the amazing shelter staff nursed me back to health. I enjoy going for walks and playing with toys, tug of war is my favorite. When I'm not playing, I love to lie down and take a nap or enjoy a tasty chew on my bed. I am a little chunky boy so small children may not be the best for me, but bigger teenagers are cool as long as they don't mind my kisses and will give me butt scratches!
