Pet Supplies Drive Update:
Due to an urgent need and a tremendous response by our community, we will now be taking our first load to the mountains this Sunday! We will still be taking collections through Thursday, 10/10, and the remainder of the supplies will go at that time.
Our first load will be used by Appalachian Animal Hospital and the Madison County Animal Shelter to help feed the 100 displaced animals that they are going to have transferred to them this weekend.
Thank you to all of you for your tremendous support that has allowed us to help those in need!
Pet Supplies Donation Drive! Please Share!
We have decided to team up with our good friends at Clifford's Army Rescue and Rollover Pets to organize a pet supplies drive from now until Thursday, 10/10!
We have been in contact with a veterinary clinic just outside of Asheville in a community that was severely affected by Hurricane Helene. We have decided to collect donations of much needed pet supplies that they will then assist in distributing to those in their community in need. There are obviously various groups collecting other relief items to take to Western NC, and we encourage you to support them as well. We wanted to do our part in helping our neighbors to the west, and we felt like this was the best way to do it!
We will be accepting donations of dog food, cat food, and cat litter. Brands and types do not matter, they just need to be new and unopened.
Drop Off Locations:
Boulevard Animal Hospital (1636 S Dekalb Street, Shelby)
Rollover Pets (105 West Warren Street, Shelby)
S&R Auto Sales (417 S Post Road, Shelby)
Arthur Services (700 East Gold Street, Kings Mountain)
Bridges Hardware (301 W Kings Street, Kings Mountain)
Oliver's Hardware and Garden Center (3712 Fallston Road)
Settle Heating and Air (2221 S Post Rd, Shelby)
CARE will also be accepting monetary donations directly to their organization that will be used exclusively to purchase food and litter to add to what we collect. Please make your donations to them directly with "Pet Supplies Drive" noted in the donation.
Update: Thank you to Oliver's Hardware and Garden Center for offering to join in and accept donations in the upper end of the county!
Update: Thank you to Settle Heating and Air for joining in and agreeing to take donations at their office as well!
Please share this post to help us get the word out! The more food we are able to collect, the more people and animals we will be able to help!
