You know what’s really fun? Going to BAHA!

We had the best Saturday getting in some low stress practice rides in preparation for Dogwood!

Daneli swept her classes with both Meg and Cricket. Other than one tiny (not actually tiny) leap over the grass, she was as close to perfect as we can ask for!

Kennedy made Firstie’s show pleasure debut earning a solid third place for owner, Minna Hankin. It was Kennedy’s first show in over two years and she rocked it!

Thankful for a great group or horses and people!

Cricket officially has a baby!!

Congrats to Miron Sport Horses LLC on the arrival of WCC Crazy Sexy Cool’s (Wine Women And Song x Arrowhead’s Moonglow) first foal. Sired by RWC Noble Braveheart, this filly is bred to be a star!

Great job Maraine Buchanan, JC and the team at the Miron Equine Center on another healthy baby!

We were recently asked to help with a mare, heavily in foal, but with an unknown due date. Although we were not perfectly set up to do it, we knew we could help and wanted to be a part of this mare’s story! 36 hours after a long trailer ride from PA we have a baby.

Last night, my mom called and said, “This mare is either dying or having a baby!” Hoping for the latter, I raced over. By the time I got there, mom had her safely in the foaling stall and we had one tiny foot on its way out. The mare did great and smoothly delivered a healthy baby girl. It’s an amazing process to witness, such natural instinct by both the mom and the foal.

Thanks to The American Saddlebred Legacy Foundation for doing the work and building the relationships that allow you to be in the right place at the right time. This mom and baby (and her team of growing fans) will be forever grateful.

Today we celebrate Dr. Jamie Boehmer’s Cracker Jack Prize. A star in the park pleasure division for 2024, CJ was the National Horseman All-American Award winner and the reserve KASPHA award winner. Jamie’s been putting in the work this winter and will debut in the show pleasure division this season!

We are less than a month away from the first horse show 😱😱😱

Before we really let go of the 2024 season we have a few final awards to share!

WCC Crazy Sexy Cool was awarded Saddle and Bridle’s Award for Best of the Breed, Amateur Three-Gaited Mare! Daneli and Cricket had a great season! After a winter of ICCSI (we are soooo excited for Cricket babies), they are ready for a fun year ahead.
