Stop and smell the roses... or.. daisies??

🌼MEET DAISY🌼

Daisy is a 1 year old, female pit/boxer mix still waiting for her forever home.

If you missed her back story, Daisy was dumped at the Bartholomew/ Shelby County line where she made herself a little nest to lay in while she waited for her owner to return. Luckily, Officer Alexander got there instead, and brought Daisy back to the shelter. With a little investigating, the owner was found and was told to make things right....
They never came to surrender Daisy. No worries though, 3 days later and she was finally ours. She was picked by Vet Tech Institute to receive vet care - something she had never gotten before. Vet Tech fixed her up and sent her back home! She is now ready to find her forever home.

FACTS ABOUT DAISY
- FULLY VACCINATED
- SPAYED
- MICROCHIPPED
- HEART WORM TESTED
- DENTAL
- BLOOD WORK
- HAS A FOLDER CONTAINING COPIES OF AL MEDICAL RECORDS

Please stop by and meet Daisy if you get a chance. She deserves it. Questions? Call us during business hours @ 317-392-5127 OR email us anytime @ [email protected] / [email protected]

❕ Owner Relinquish ❕

We have a new baby in the building.

❄️ Meet Blizzard. ❄️

Blizzard was relinquished due to no fault of her own. The finder started feeding and caring for her, but could not bring her inside due to another cat. Because of this, they felt it was best that Blizzard found another home that could meet her needs. Blizzard has been treated with flea meds and has very clean, gorgeous fur. The finder did a great fantastic job keeping her healthy. She is young - about 1-2 years old. The owner stated she gets along with other cats and is very sweet. She has been faithful to her litterbox since she has been here. She did not come with a name, so we picked one for her. Feel free to change it if you adopt. Come and meet Blizzard and her friends. We are closed tomorrow for Election Day but will open back up on Wednesday. Questions? Call us during normal business hours @317-392-5127 or email anytime @cityofshelbyvillein.com / [email protected]. Thank you!!

Thank you Sarah for your update on Ms. Maggie who was relinquished by her previous owner. We learned a lot about Maggie from you, and she knows she is finally home forever! God bless you two, and if you ever need anything, don't hesitate to ask your shelter fam💕

I made Maggie's adoption official today and just wanted to share these with you. When I say I knew when I saw the post she was the one, she acts like she's been in our home for a long time. She fits in perfectly! I have a video of her eating her pup cup in the pup parade at school, but it was too large to attach. The girl who rescued her previously had said she always took her to 7 brew for one, and Maggie was so excited about it! Thank you again for the opportunity to foster her before adopting, I knew when I saw her that she had found her forever home. ♥️

PLEASE CONTACT MELINDA IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN EITHER OF HER CATS. THANK YOU
Good morning,

I’m attaching copies of pictures of the two cats I’m needing posted. The black and white cat is “Kitty” she is 12 years old. She is fixed and does have her claws. She is indoor and keeps to herself most of the time. She is more moody but never aggressive . She currently lives with a dog but does not like to interact with other him. She just avoids him. The calico cats name is “Cali” she is 9. She is fixed and has her claws. She is very sweet and a great cat. She is indoor but loves to go outdoors too. She is smart and will venture out doors but always finds her way back home. She does like to hunt mice and whatever else she can get her hands on. My son is moving away to Texas and cannot take the cats. My husband is highly allergic to cats so we cannot take them. Please let me know if you need anymore details about the cats. Thanks again for your time and help!!!!!!!!

Daisy is also returning from Vet Tech Institute. She was dumped at the Shelby/Bartholomew County line and sadly her owner wouldn't surrender or claim her. After enough time, she became our doggo where she received vet care for the first time in her life. The one-year-old puppy has fees that are waived and needs a home where she will finally be loved and pampered.

Stray Alert! Please give us a tip as we are getting conflicting stories.

This male Boxer x puppy is SCARED TO DEATH. He weighs 20 pounds and is not microchipped or wearing a collar. The gentleman stated he found the dog at 4:00 a.m. and it could have been Sunset Park, Sunrise Park, State Road 44 or Elliott Street as the story was conflicting. Because of Election day holiday, this dog would not be available until a week from today unless someone comes forward and surrenders or claims the dog. As I mentioned, he is scared to death. Please call the Shelbyville Shelby County Animal Shelter at 317-392-5127 or email me ANYTIME at [email protected]. IF YOU DON'T WANT YOUR PUPPY, SIGN HIM OVER SO WE CAN FIND SOMEONE THAT WILL GIVE HIM LOVE. THANK YOU!!!
