Kim is looking for homes for 12 Springerdoodle/ Husky mix puppies. They are about 7-8 weeks old, working on potty training, and will most likely be Medium-Large sized when full-grown. There is 1 girl (the all-black one) and 11 boys! Puppies have not yet received their first round of shots. The pups were born November 28, 2024. They are great with kids and dogs but have never been around cats. If you are interested in giving these sweet babies a loving home, please contact Kim.

❄️OWNER SURRENDER❄️

Meet Riley! Riley is a 3 year old female Siberian Husky. She is fixed and gets along well with dogs and cats. She's also great with kids. Riley's family simply did not have the time to care for Riley the way she deserves (meaning - she is here due to no fault of her own). She is described as very hyper and high energy. Her family felt she was spending too much time left in her crate. Riley is also housebroken! This girl is a total catch.

Riley is having the time of her life in this bitter cold weather and wants a human to enjoy it with. If you are an experienced husky owner or maybe you just need someone to adventure with, Riley could be the one for you!

Come and meet Riley Monday-Thursday 10:30-4:30 or Fridays until 4:00. We are located @ 705 Hale Road, Shelbyville, IN, 46176. Questions about Riley or any of our other babies? Give us a call @317-392-5127 or email us ANYTIME @cityofshelbyvillein.com / @cityofshelbyvillein.com

UPDATE: DUKE WAS OWNER CLAIMED

‼️STRAY ALERT‼️

Officer Wood picked up this male Red Heeler/ Aussie mix around E 600 N / N 700 E in Gwynneville, Indiana (Shelby County). The caller stated the dog had been seen last week in the same spot so he could live around the area. The dog jumped right in his truck ready to go for a ride. He is not microchipped or wearing a collar. Please share as he could live in Rush County as well. If you recognize him or know where he belongs, give us a call @ 317-392-5127 or email us anytime @cityofshelbyvillein.com / @cityofshelbyvillein.com

Thank you, Sandy, for your update and the time spent trying to catch the dog that has been running for 2 weeks in St. Paul, Indiana. This sweet girl is currently in a foster home while we try to find an owner or any info about where she came from.
Sandy states she is a female and has no microchip or collar. She seems to be young and possibly a Pomchi mix. Surprisingly, she is completely healthy and has no visible injuries or frostbite. She sure is a smart girl for surviving for so long on her own in this frigid weather. Multiple people attempted to capture her, but she evaded them for weeks. Finally, with a little trust, she gave in and allowed them to contain her.

With very little info about her, we'd like to learn more of her story. Do you know where she came from? Or who owned her? Or possibly if she was left behind? If you have any info regarding this sweet girl, please feel free to give us a call @ 317-392-5127 or email us anytime (we always accept anonymous tips) @cityofshelbyvillein.com / @cityofshelbyvillein.com Thank you!

We have 13 cremations ready to be picked up. Brooke has been making several calls these past few days. We don't mind hanging onto them if you can't make it right away but some of these have been here for a month. Please stop by at your earliest convenience to pick up your babies. We will start adopting out cremations if we cannot reach people after a month. Thank you.
