Tiny Tot Camp 2022 🐴

This week it was our littlest riders turn for camp! Our unicorn school horses enjoyed all the pampering as the students practiced their grooming skills, everyone mastered their up-downs, and there were too many giggles to count!

Omar is our featured horse for Meet the Lesson Horse Monday!

Omar has been around the ring a few times at the young age of 27! He’s proof that age is just a number. Omar has done it all from equitation, three-gaited, park, show pleasure, academy and tournaments! Everyone loves to ride Omar because he still acts like a show horse. He and Toppy, the pony, have become best friends and can’t be turned out without the other. We’re so grateful to have Omar and his mom as a part of the Walnut Way team 💙❤️💙

WWF Horsemanship Camp 2022 was one of the best weeks! Campers worked on their riding skills both on and off their horses, learned how to wrap legs, took care of their horses in all aspects, enjoyed having a guest instructor lesson, and everyone’s favorite was double riding! You know it’s been a good week when they don’t want to go home on Friday night 💙❤️💙

The Wylde Wryders and our models, Stella and Buttercup, went over all the parts of a horse today! They worked in pairs to label all that they could with as little help as possible.

It’s meet the Lesson Horses Monday!

Buttercup is our unicorn pony who does everything from first time riding tiny tots, strengthening up our older kids with ba****ck rides, to shows and tournaments, and everything in between. She’s the perfect mixture of sweet and sass, and we wouldn’t trade her for the world! 🦄

We welcomed a group of elementary students from Shelby County Public Schools to experience to what the daily life of thriving Saddlebred farm looks like in action. Our riding instructor guided the students as they watched horses in training, met the lesson horses, watched and ask questions about the farrier and the shoeing process, and used their curiousity to learn more about the equine industry.

First horse show for these girls! Audrey Larkin brought home a 2nd and 3rd place showing as a 5 year old in 6 & under walk trot on Lexie. Olivia Andriot earned a 1st and 2nd showing as a 7 year old in 7&8 year old walk trot on Lexie. So proud of all the hard work these girls have put in to have such a successful and fun day! Thank you Signature Stables for being such a great host.
