We would like to officially announce and welcome our two new Barn Managers to the Lettleiki Icelandics Team! Abigail Janes and Esteban Grenald joined us shortly before our Triple World Ranking shows back in May! They got thrown into the deep end with taking over the management of our 105 acre and 80+ horse facility right before a big event we hosted but they’ve settled in wonderfully! Abigail joins us as a local Kentuckian with a background in the reining world, experience managing horses from growing up on her family farm, and a bubbly can-do personality. Esteban joins us from Tennessee with over 30 years of experience managing horse farms all around the US, with a personal love of roping, and a friendly helpful personality. Both of these individuals have shown their dedication, care and attention to detail with the care of every horse on the property and we appreciate them so much for that! For more details on these two check out their bio pages on our website!

Sometimes you have really big shoes to fill but are still just a baby! Today Rindill was a super sweet boy for his autograph meet and greets, then he was a rockstar in his first performance in the big covered arena with a crowd and the loudspeaker. All big things for a 7 year old who’s only been off the property 1x before! But when you’re beginning a journey with any horse you have to figure out things along the way sometimes. Today we discovered Rindill does not like umbrellas at all! At the end of the day these horses are still flight animals and their reactions to things are simply their natural responses, it’s how we deal with them on the other end that will shape the future for them. We are so thankful Rindill, and subsequently Solon’s, loose galavant didn’t result in any horses or humans being injured. We spent the afternoon letting Rindill settle again and we have a game plan for him for tomorrow to try to avoid umbrellas until we can work with him at home with them in a safe positive environment where he will learn umbrellas are friends not foes!
