Next 3 year old coming over for her 1 month of youngster training is Tala from Saddle One Farm! This Smokey black mare is out of Silvía frá Álfhólahjáleigu by Svali frá Tjörn. Stay tuned to see what she does during her training!
The first of our 3 year olds came over to the training barn for his one month of baby training in June! Storkur from Swallowland Farm is a lovely gelding out of Glitrós frá Kagaðarhóli by Svali frá Tjörn. His fun personality shone through as @phennigar1990 worked with him on learning about personal space, basic round pen and on the line work, some desensitizing and initial saddling and backing! He’s back in the field for another year to continue to grow and play with his friends now!
7 year old Rindill from Swallowland Farm and 5 year old Viðey from Nomadic Pastures clearly don’t take after their dad at all 💁♂️. JK 😎 Sporður frá Bergi has his fingerprint written all over these two!
Our 2024 Show Camp ended today with the Lettleiki Icelandics Student Schooling Show! We had a great group of students riding in youth classes they’ve been working on in lessons and camp recently! Congrats and thank you to all who joined us today!
A collection of happy memories we took home from #breyerfest 2024! There were so many more photos we couldn’t use them all!
Straight from a sleepy Friða’s mouth! We love #breyerfest !!!! 💙
Sometimes we just ride to our music without a plan and a plan naturally happens! This was a fun way to end our first performance today all riding together into the finish of our program! Our beautiful music is an original piece by @sheislyons ! Fits our horses beautifully!
We all love what we do so much! Day 2 performing at #breyerfest was great! A little toasty weather didn’t keep us from having a blast in the covered arena showing off our gaited horses!
#breyerfest Day 1 - Autographs, Performances, Interviews and Excitement! We love meeting all the horse’s fans!
“He keeps copying me! What the heck?!”3 year old Storkur discovering what a mirror is! #lettleikiicelandics #icelandichorse
Days 2 and 3 of our Triple Ice Championships were once again filled with fun rides at all different levels! We also had some lovely Kentucky thunderstorms roll through on the last day but we pushed on and finished the day with classes in the indoor! Thank you to all the volunteers who helped this weekend - we can never manage a show like this without all the extra hands! Thank you to the judges for traveling to us from afar and giving us good feedback with which to keep progressing! And a huge thanks to all the riders for making the effort to join us with their horses each year! It’s wonderful to have returning faces and see new ones, and we look forward to seeing everyone next time!
Day 1 of our Triple Ice Championships here in Kentucky is complete! The weather was perfect and we had a lovely time with old and new friends on the tracks! Stay tuned for Day 2 excitement tomorrow!
Last day of setup/prep is complete! Horses bathed, tack cleaned, judging tents set up, tack shop ready, and last minute training done! 💪 Just 9 hours till the first ride of the 2024 Triple Ice Championships! We can’t wait to see everyone in the morning!

Happy International Day of The Icelandic Horse! We’re enjoying some smiles and laughs watching our new foals learn to enjoy life! What a happy joyous breed we are all thankful to work with!
We had a fun time last weekend with many of our students joining us for our Spring Schooling Show! It was a great experience for newcomers just learning to show, a good opportunity for people to test out programs they may ride in our May show, and just a lovely time with good people! Thank you to all who joined us!
MagnaWave time for Lja! Prepping a lot of our horses for our Triple World Ranking shows in a few weeks with thoughtful training, good rest time, and a variety of body work! Who else is getting prepped?
Glow up spotlight! Valtyr arrived from NY last summer to get started under saddle and begin his career as a riding horse. He spent the last 10+ months learning all his gaits, some lateral work, and getting experience riding indoors, on the track and on trails around our farm! He’s been so much fun to work with and we hope he has a fun summer back home in NY with his mom @fitzgerald4382 !
Glow up spotlight! @kristina.simmons.35 sent Prima to us to get started under saddle spring of 2023 for a few months, then she had a nice 6+ month long break and returned in December to continue her training! It’s been so much fun working with this sweet girl again this year, we can’t wait to hear the adventures she’ll have next in life!
Reporting live from the Lettleiki Pace Track 😂! Training with @alexornothing 💪!
