Hi, my name is Louie. I am a shy but curious guy. I would love to find a home where I can be a leg warmer on the couch. I do enjoy cuddling and having your attention. I have big dreams of someday owning my own biscuit factory. I am roughly 8 months old. I am neutered, vaccinated, and dewormed. I am heartworm, feline leukemia, and FIV negative. I thankfully came across Dr. Charly during my time as a stray. She has promised to help me find a loving home.

Hands on learning is always the best way to learn in this field and sometimes you just got to get creative, like Sharlie (LVT) using a lint roller, old iv set and some pink saline to teach IV catheter placement, taping and wrapping to Brittney our tech in training.

Gavin won "a day in the life of a vet" and got to spend a day shadowing Dr. Charly.
Just a few things he got to see was a laceration repair on a goat, an ear cytology under the microscope, an abdominal ultrasound on a dog , dental radiographs, a horse dental procedure, and tooth extraction.
He even got some hands on experience with one of our LVT dogs, he performed a senior exam on Steve and applied a bandage to Sherman's leg.

Before he left he said he will defiently be a vet some day and had the biggest smile!

Thanks for joining us Gavin, we hope you do become a vet someday

Heckler came from a rough situation with over 60 cats but now will be living solo with his new owner who will give him all the love he deserves. Fun fact is Heckler loves to tell stories to himself in front of the mirror😂
