Has been spotted but very skittish.

🌈🐾Sadly, we don’t have a happy ending for sweet Gigi. She was hit by a car today by someone who did not stop, and she did not survive.

Her family is absolutely devastated but deeply grateful for all the support, prayers, well wishes, and shares. Gigi’s case was especially difficult because she was incredibly skittish—every time someone called out or approached her, she would run. This is a heartbreaking reminder of why we always stress not to chase or call out to lost dogs. Scared dogs will run, and sometimes, the best way to help is simply to stand back and make a call.

Despite every effort, we just couldn’t get her to slow down enough to bring her to safety. But her family never stopped trying. They worked tirelessly, worried endlessly, and loved her so much.

A special thank you to Mike from Heatseeker Drone Services for coming out to fly for us, and to CTDGRV Melissa, Jill, Marla, Bonnie, Judi, Bernie, and Steven for their hard work on this case. Thank you to Monroe ACO, Gina, the kind neighbors who allowed us to set up feeding stations and traps in their yards, and to everyone who called in sightings.

We are all devastated by this tragic loss. Please send Gigi’s family love and strength during this incredibly difficult time.

🐾 Put food out in view of camera. Beef, chicken, or hotdogs.
🐾 Check footage to see if she has come to your feeding station.
🐾 If you see her call 203-727-0558 immediately.

🚨DO NOT approach her - Do Not call out to her - Do Not attempt to catch her - SHE WILL RUN! Doing any of these things will her will put her in danger🚨

We are helping a family member rehome her 6year old chihuahua. Unfortunately, the elderly mother can no longer care for her. This is Chrissy, a 6 year old chihuahua who is housebroken, good with dogs and cats, and very lovable.
