🎁 We are pleased to announce that the Kitten Rescue of Mason County's Holiday Bazaar raised $3,930 yesterday! (some is still trickling in, up to $4000!)

As always, these funds directly support our mission to rescue, feed, enrich, provide medical care, spay, neuter, and find loving homes for the kitties of Mason County.

❄️This holiday season, while you're spreading cheer, would you consider giving the gift of time to a cat in need?🙏 The holidays are a busy time, and many of our amazing, regular volunteers take well-deserved time off to be with their families. 🫶

🙀This means we have critical openings for volunteer shifts around the upcoming holidays and long weekends!

Morning cleaning shift: 8AM-10AM or 12PM
Evening shift light duty: 6PM-8PM

🥧 * Thanksgiving Weekend (Nov 27 - Nov 30)
🎄 * Christmas Week (Dec 21 - Dec 29)
🎉 * New Year's (Dec 30 - Jan 2)

🏡If you're hosting cat loving friends or family this year or if you find yourself alone during the holidays, come join us for the day!

Volunteering at the shelter can be a real "experience gift" that can be truly entertaining, heartwarming, healing but, also maybe even a little ~dangerous~

🧶 McRuckus, McRumble, and Mr McScruff are (almost) just as their names entail!

These guys came in as feral kittens from a local colony, and they have been doing wonderful with their socializing but still have some work to be done. They are all three motivated by Churu and allow pets, but are quick to hiss and run if frightened or startled 😱

🧡 McScruff is the most friendly and curious so far and allows pets with an occasional hiss, allows brief holding and enjoys playing with other kitties !

All 3 must go together for safety in numbers if you're looking for friendly barn or shop cats, but

with the understanding that they all will need time to trust and adjust, McScruff could go solo as a house pet and the other two as a pair to a home. They would not be suitable for homes with children or dogs as we know at the moment 🐯
