What randomly started as my little girls quizzical notion has quickly blown into a full fledged backyard business. Upon moving to our little farmette and acquiring some various farm pets, Chloe thought we should share them with the world by opening a petting zoo. She would not let go of this idea, and asked Peter Corum, proprietor of Morgan's Grove Market, if he would allow her to feature it as th

e summer market. Chloe was very pleased when he happily agreed! Since then, we have spent our Saturday mornings at the market, under a nice shady tree, sharing Chloe's farm friends with families from all around. She has now been invited to feature her petting zoo at Ridgefield Farm and Orchard in the fall and is premiering at her first Birthday Party in August. As you know, her weekend commitments are "donation only" and she is required to put any proceeds towards animal care and savings. Chloe she proudly does this and we maintain a spreadsheet for her so she can see the expenses of the animals and her responsibilities with them. This little adventure isn't cheap and all donations are greatly appreciated. Her birthday parties are at a small fee to cover travel. She is the major caretaker around the Peaceful Parcel, which is our farmette, and handles feeding, watering, egg gathering. brushing/bathing and much more. Chloe takes great pride in her farm and I take great pride in her. Well, enough said and now we are of to market!
