Looking for weekend help. This position could start occasionally now and then turn into both weekend days in July. Responsibilities include turn in/out, feeding, watering, mucking stalls, cleaning paddocks, and other basic barn chores for a small barn of 5-7 horses. Additional weekday afternoons also possible. Applicants should have a strong work ethic and horse care knowledge and be able to work independently. With this position there is a very rare opportunity to also have a stall and work off board. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Must have reliable transportation. Attention to detail, punctuality and good communication skills necessary. We are looking for barn cats. We would love a bonded pair, like our friends, Molly and Butterscotch in the picture, who we lost to old age within six months of each other earlier this year. They will have a heated tack room, a large hay loft, food, water, litter box and great hunting provided. I would love litter trained cats so they don't ruin my hay and cats who are friendly enough to give veterinary care. Kittens preferred. Willing to travel a bit for the right pair.

We are looking for barn cats. Preferably a bonded pair who are friendly enough to put in a carrier and take to a vet and who are litter trained. Kittens or young preferred, too. Large hay loft, water, food, heated tack room all availlable. We lost our two barn kitties over the past six months to old age. We had them for 16 years.

About Us

Long Run Farm is a small, family owned and operated eventing facility and farm in Sherborn, Massachusetts. Sam and Sandy Niles own the farm, where Sandy rides and Sam takes care of the chickens and his extensive vegetable garden and fruit crops. Sandy and her daughter, Abby, are active competitors in USEA events. They have a few boarders who also event, do low level dressage and enjoy spending time on the farm and with their horses. Long Run is also home to many of the mounted and unmouted meetings of the Norfolk Hunt Pony Club throughout the year as Sandy serves as the District Commissioner of the club.
