Today was a special day as we conducted a ribbon-cutting with One Zone, Hamilton County's Chamber of Commerce celebrating INDOT and Indiana Landmarks and Fieldgate Farm's opening of the historical farmhouse. We are so excited to add this next step to Fieldgate Farm. Enjoy the pictures and in the next few weeks you will get to hear the exciting plans we have for this next chapter.

Our office hours have changed! On Sundays, starting Nov. 1st, we will only be open 12-5 pm in the front office for all drop-offs and pick-ups.

"As iron sharpens iron" A true mentor, a great AG teacher, and just plain fun to be around. Charles Parmley was laid to rest today. Mr Parmley had an impact on a lot of nucklehead boys trying to become young men. He sure had an impact on the man that I am today. Truly, a life well lived! You will be missed but NEVER forgotten.

While we love boarding your dogs at Fieldgate Farm, Did you know that we have a doodle friendly cottage in South Haven that you can take your Colonial Village Labradoodles with you on vacation? Message me to learn more. We have lots of openings in August! It is three bedrooms two bath with a basement TV room. We include bikes, a gas grill, beach, chairs, and a fire pit. Went to see more? We have a unique rehoming situation: Bruno and Rafa are in need of a new family. They are five and six years old and bonded brothers. Bruno is a standard and is very easy-going. Rafa is such a happy boy, but will need a fenced in yard. They get along with other dogs and do great with sibling dogs. We have not had them around little children, but they are excellent with older kids and everyone they interact with. There will be a time of settling in, but they would make excellent family dogs, their family is unable to keep them as one of their daughters has developed an allergy to the boys.

This is a free placement. Both boys had annual vaccines and exams this week. We love them and they are family at Fieldgate Farm.

At Colonial Village Labradoodles, we know that bringing home a new dog can be an exciting and rewarding experience! However, it can also be overwhelming and stressful for both the dog and the new owner. That's why we recommend following the 3/3/3 rule when bringing home a new dog!

The 3/3/3 rule is a set of guidelines for the first three days, three weeks, and three months after bringing home a new dog, and emphasizes the need for patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement when bringing home a new dog. Dogs are creatures of habit and routine, and they need time to adjust to new environments and build trust with their new family.
