All of our dogs undergo clearances! What are clearances? They are health tests to ensure our breeding dogs are healthy and sound before they become part of our program! We do elbow, hip, heart, and eye clearances, as well as genetic testing! Did you know we do our ultrasounds in house? We do ultrasounds on our bred females around 20 days after they’ve been bred. We do this to determine whether the breeding took or not. If it did, we line up appointments for an x ray to get a count of puppies later in the momma’s pregnancy, and we start preparing for puppies! How can we tell if there are puppies? It takes a trained eye to be able to tell the difference between organs and puppies! Here you can see a couple babies being pointed out! The Jane x Noah litter was exposed to hardwood flooring! We are starting the process of introducing them to new surfaces, among other things.
