some of you know Lucky 🐴
but not many of you know that the two of them are very bonded to each other.
Some would call it “herd bound,” but I think it goes deeper than that…before coming to live at Todd Acres both these sweet boys were victims of neglect….**see note below
Though horses may not speak or tell stories of their past like we do, I think they must have their own ways to communicate their past with one another, whether it be through some sort of language or energy, but they can empathize and understand.
They are such intuitive and intelligent animals, capable of feeling so much more than we give them credit for.
I’ve known my whole life that I was meant to protect, care for and walk alongside animals.
Most days I feel strong and capable, but other days the exhaustion and disappointment in people can feel crushing…🥺
I tear up every time I look at these photos…sad tears, then angry tears, but then happy tears…my heart fills with happiness when I see these 2 together 🥰
knowing that though we can’t save them all, these 2 horses are definitely living their best lives now; they’re at peace, feeling safe, secure and loved.

We bought Cloud from her in March 2023
