🎆🐾 Keep Your Pets Calm and Safe This New Year’s Eve! 🐾🎆

The loud fireworks and celebrations may be fun for us, but they can be stressful and even scary for our furry friends. Here are some tips to help your pets stay safe and comfortable:

1️⃣ Create a Safe Space: Set up a cozy, quiet spot where your pet can retreat. A familiar blanket or toy can help ease their anxiety.

2️⃣ Drown Out the Noise: Play calming music or turn on the TV to mask the sounds of fireworks.

3️⃣ Keep Them Indoors: Avoid the risk of them running off. Close windows and doors, and double-check fences and gates.

4️⃣ Update ID Info: Make sure your pet’s microchip and tags have up-to-date contact info, just in case.

5️⃣ Comfort Them: Stay close if possible, and use calming products like pet-safe pheromone diffusers or anxiety wraps if needed. Call our office if you have tried these items in the past and they don't work or your pet needs additional support!

Poinsettias can be harmful to your dogs and cats.

Eating their leaves can cause irritation to their mouths and nausea / vomiting, so please be careful where you place these beautiful plants in your home!!! If you think your pet has ingested any part of your poinsettia, you can give our hospital a call to talk over options! 501-837-7106
