Last breeding happened on 11/19 between Up North Farm Miss Persephone and Parrish Farms SN Apollo. Sephie did not care for Apollo but she stood for him so we will see if she took or not. Apollo is a bit much lol. Sephie will be a FF due on April 13th.

3rd breeding was also yesterday 11/18 between Up North Farm Goddess Rhea and Fox Acres PP Griffin! I am SO excited about this pairing! Rhea should be due to kid April 12th

2nd breeding happened yesterday 11/18 between Fox Acres MK Twisted Poppy and Russian Ridge SMG Jett Moon. Poppy will be due April 12th as a 2F!

Our first possible breeding happened on 11/14 between Up North Farm Golden Daffodil and Russian Ridge SMG Jett Moon. This should put Daffy to kid on April 8th if Jett got the job done.

The Soup is a 2020 ADGA registered doe who has produced her way out of my herd. She has put an amazing foundation on my girls and I’ve retained 3 daughters from her. She was a 3F in 2024. For Linear Appraisals in 2023 she scored a VEEV90. She is a powerhouse of a mom and does really well milking. I really would like her to goto a performance home as I tried milk testing last year and I just didn’t enjoy it but she did very well. She needs someone to get her the recognition and put the work into milking.

Unfortunately, she has horns but she’s not mean.(But she is my herd queen) She’s a standoffish doe and doesn’t seek out human attention but she gets right on the milk stand with grain.

She has always had quads for me, so I always watch her extra close for kidding

She is UDT on vaccines. She will also come with her ADGA Registration. I am a clean tested herd free from Johnes (f***l PCR and blood) as well as CAE.

Located in Debs, MN (30 minutes north of Bemidji). Willing to meet.

I can breed her to my Parrish Farms or Russian Ridge Buck if interested. I’ve retained kids from both.

We’re no professionals (me, my mom and my goats) but finally got some updated photos of the girls. Missing a few that need retakes but overall everyone looks pretty good! (Missing Sweetie, Sephie and Luna but will get them retaken)

We are officially sold out of kids this year! Thank you everyone who provided amazing homes for my goaties this year and past years! As always, please keep me updated and share photos! I love seeing them. Also, please remember to consider me if you have to rehome anything you’ve purchased from me! I’m always willing to consider taking them back if I’m financially capable!

A little recap. We had 13 live kids this year out of 5 does!

5 doelings and 8 bucklings

Some things I’ve learned is Sweetie carries moonspots, all of Jett’s kids are just as noisy as him, Soup actually DOES produce bucklings, having the “norovirus” during kidding season is awful, and Soup x Apollo make an awesome cross (Rhea)!

Thank you to Benton and my family for always being so amazing, supportive and helpful with my love for my goaties!!

And of course thank you to my wonderful goat moms! 🫶

I am tossing around the idea of selling Soup. ONLY because I have retained 3 doelings from her! I want her to goto a performance home so she can earn her milk stars. Unfortunately, she has horns BUT she is not mean and she’s a standoffish doe so she will avoid you unless you have grain. She is a very good milker and is a powerhouse at raising kids! She has had quads 3 years in a row.

2nd keeper doeling of the 2024 season is ….SHOCKER…. Another doeling out of Soup …..and Jett. I knew I was keeping this girl from day one but I just couldn’t think of a name but finally, here is Up North Farm SJ Raven Moon! I’m very excited about this little girl!

Kidding 2024

We start kidding on Saturday! All the girls are set up in their pens and I think they are happy they can just lay around and be lazy now!

Boys

Well the boys got moved to the barn because we had a wolf kill a deer in the pasture that shares a fence with theirs. A little too close for comfort especially when my parents calve out in that pasture in a few weeks. Apollo is all stir crazy being next to the girls!

Out and about

Out and about for a short walk this afternoon. Sunny but cold! The girls enjoyed it. Soup and Rhea are uncomfortable lol 49 days until kidding!

Kitty!

Anyone looking for a barn cat or house cat. She was a drop off at the dumpsters by work and we caught her. She is not aggressive just scared. She will purr when you hold her but she has yet to come to you on her own terms. Just treated for fleas and ear mites. I think she will turn out to be a super friendly cat. Like I said she is just scared right now and needs love, attention and patience. We require her to to get fixed by her new owners, she doesn’t look or feel to be pregnant.
