After one year of great times spent with our male dog Mocha (chocolate), we welcomed his first female companion, Latte (yellow) into our family. These two produced four litters of chocolate, black, and yellow pups over three years which we sold into other families with ecstatic kids and compassionate parents. Unfortunately, Latte was lost to a tragic accident at an early age, leaving Mocha without
a partner. Soon after we found another suitable female, Nilla (yellow). Mocha and NIlla had two litters of pups before Mocha passed of old age. We mourned the loss of our first family lab and did not last long without him. We sought out a new chocolate lab, this time a female, whom we called Java. Our house was not the same without pups so we elected to use a stud breeder (separate male lab) who boasted a beautiful fox red coat. To our surprise, Java bore one lone silver female pup in two consecutive litters, both of which led to the formation of our family business, "Silver Labs of Shiner." Today, we still have the two silver females (Cinder and Ash), the chocolate female (Java), and a silver male (Smoke) that we acquired from a family friend in the area. Thus far, of the two silver females, Cinder is the only one to have borne a litter, a beautiful cluster of nine silver pups (5 male, 4 female). More than anything, we adore having puppies at our home, so we truly hope this is just the beginning for our four adult labs.....
