After he was found wandering the streets alone, Oliver was transported to the San Jose Shelter.

Though his expression may seem serious, he truly is a happy boy who beams with energy and spirit. Even on those overcast days, Oliver's ready to share his sunny personality.

Welcome Roland and Leo, our newest adorable bonded pair who are both four years old.

They've made an agreement. Sometimes one will nap while the other waits for an invading critter or the latest Chewy package.

These socially adept two are double the sweetness, good-natured and skilled at becoming friends with other canines.

They welcome children with friendly greetings too.

Roland and Leo are looking for a foster to adopt home where they're ready to share their love and joy.

We will always remember you, sweet Woody.

We hoped as we watched your progress from being an extremely neglected dog to one who was greatly cared for by
John and Sam, your foster parents.

Through all the stories, we cheered as you were bouncing back sharing your delight and playfulness with Tule, your foster canine sibling. And, oh, how you savored Sam's homemade meatballs.

We celebrated as you were seen as a normal dog and lovingly adopted by
Bob and Carol.

We know Bob and Carol loved you deeply to gently let you go as you lost your ability to move and developed sudden blindness while arthritis was severely harming your body.

We'll remember your courage and perseverance as you helped write your last chapter here to one of being a happy and very loved dog.

Sometimes dogs enter our world for a very short time, but the care we give them changes our world as they change ours.

This is true for sweet five-year-old Rosie who (unexpectedly pregnant) entered our rescue and faithfully nurtured her young pups. After the puppies had been adopted, this delightful dog was given her dream gift, a forever home where she felt safe, secure and loved.

A couple of days ago, Rosie developed a debilitating condition and was rushed to emergency, but this little fur angel could not be saved.

We are thankful Rosie's family packed so much care into her daily life. We're sending our love to them, and may their hearts be comforted.

May you rest in peace, sweet Rosie.💗

Marvin healed very well from his first ear ablation surgery about six weeks ago,
and on Monday, Marvin will be undergoing his second surgery. His life will thrive without constant ear pain and, hopefully, he'll be adoption ready.

Woody is adopted!!!

We are so excited and thankful to be able to share this amazing news today.

Woody is our major comeback star thanks to his foster parents, John and Sam. You know from all the stories posted how his journey evolved from being on a euthanasia list, to eating small bits of food, barely walking, to gaining strength to want to live and then running around with his bouncy foster canine sibling.

Thank you, Bob and Carol, for seeing Woody as a normal dog with some medical challenges. We know he'll be cherished, and he'll cherish you.💛
