Little Fawn Sanctuary

Little Fawn Sanctuary Little Fawn Sanctuary is a quiet place to nurture orphaned, abandoned, and ill fawns during their initial isolation period. They are completely defenseless.

On a quiet cul-de-sac in El Dorado county there is a piece of land and predator safe enclosure dedicated to nursing abandoned and injured fawns to strength and independence. For the time the fawn(s) are in our care, they receive only necessary human interaction and as natural an environment as possible until their release. An independent effort with the blessing and education of El Dorado County's

Wildlife Rescue, Little Fawn Sanctuary at Hop's Hill is a unique facility that recognizes the beauty of these fragile creatures. At birth, Mule deer fawns are the size of a small dog and may weigh less than 5 lbs. When they are at Hop's Hill, they are protected and appreciated. The idea for Little Fawn Sanctuary was born when an injured doe, "Hop" accepted an abandoned fawn "Little Fawn" into her family and taught our family to believe in miracles and become an open channel for them to arrive unchallenged by reason or tradition.
