For the time the fawn(s) are in our care, they receive only necessary human interaction and as natural an environment as possible until their release. Wildlife Rescue, Little Fawn Sanctuary at Hop's Hill is a unique facility that recognizes the beauty of these fragile creatures. At birth, Mule deer fawns are the size of a small dog and may weigh less than 5 lbs. When they are at Hop's Hill, they are protected and appreciated. The idea for Little Fawn Sanctuary was born when an injured doe, "Hop" accepted an abandoned fawn "Little Fawn" into her family and taught our family to believe in miracles and become an open channel for them to arrive unchallenged by reason or tradition.
