Our Story

We are a non-profit animal rescue organization dedicated to the prevention of cruelty and abandonment of animals. We assist in funding spay and neuter services on a case by case basis to prevent unwanted animals. We spend an average of $10,00o a year providing spay and neuter in our community. R.A.I.N. has placed an average of 100 cats and kittens, 50-70 dogs a year since 2009. We also foster and reunite lost animals with their owners. We have a relationship with Shasta Wildlife as a go-between with the public to receive and transport injured wildlife.
