Buddy likes to hang out wherever his person is. He is fully capable of playing on his own and doing periodic check ins. Typical GSD!
Attention Club Members: Unfortunately there will not be club time up here today. It isn’t safe to walk. There was about 8 inches of snow on Thursday followed by rain. Yesterday it was a slush fest and during the night it hit the mid twenties. It is literally an uneven ice rink this a.m. I can see what happens today as it hopefully thaws for a possible Sunday club if some would be interested . Otherwise I hope to see you next weekend!

Buddy spam continued. It’s rainy and dreary so after playing with Mr Buddy I decided to give him a boredom buster in his kennel. I always make him sit and wait for his food so he knows that game but this was a little more challenging since it was very high value and he really wanted it! I normally like to say wait once but it was acceptable this time to repeat the command. I wanted him to be successful. He was! I was super proud of him.
I think it’s time for more Buddy spam. Buddy is still available. I will be showing this handsome German in different settings. This was the goodnight routine. Some have asked me about whether Buddy has a rehoming fee. The owner only wants the best for him. He does have heating costs here that will need to be covered that will be his rehoming cost. So far it really isn’t much. I turn heat on as needed at a cost of $5.00 per night. I am donating my training time but any out of pocket costs will need to be passed on. Please consider adding this great young dog to your family.

Attention Club Members: No club today. It’s raining pretty good. I would switch it to tomorrow but it doesn’t look any better. So. Unless some of you would like to get together for lunch to talk about dogs…..I hope to see you next week. Oh…and I want to commend those who came last weekend in the brutal icy wind! That was hard! Stay warm and dry.
Tall, dark and handsome German guy Buddy is still looking for that perfect relationship. His stay here has been extended another 30 days. Today I’m giving a glimpse of just a normal day. I do not work with him every day. He is happy to amuse himself and hang out. His owner has given some input to how he was at home. While in the house he was pretty chill until the owner went to get up from his chair. Then Buddy would be very animated about the interaction of doing something with his peeps. He is housebroken and apparently slept through the night. Here Buddy is not a barker at night and I haven’t needed to use a bark collar at night. He does occasionally get upset when I work with other dogs but this is very normal. Buddy has had training and I am still keeping that up during his extended stay here. Message me if you are interested in this Gem of a dog!
Additional information that I got from my neighbor: When their dog Sadie is out and at the fence.....he doesn't bark at her. He is very dog neutral. Thank you Cheryl for the input!
Good Morning Club Members: Just a heads up on the weather this a.m. No snow or rain however....there are very icy, severe wind gusts. I suggest you dress very warm. In these windy conditions you can expect your pup to be more distracted and wild than normal. I also recommend hand warmers or gloves. I don't know if this is something that will continue throughout the morning as it's still very early (7:00 a.m.). We shall see.
Thank you to Bill for working with Buddy again in Club time. Bill’s calm demeanor is compatible to Buddy’s energy level. Buddy is a very energetic boy. He is also adaptable and shows a willingness to learn.

I had lightly started some off leash with Buddy. We did an experiment with Chris using a security leash. It wasn’t bad considering this is only the second time Chris has worked with Buddy. Buddy has about a week left here. Please contact me if you are interested in giving this boy a good home.
