Let’s share a live update.
Baby goats
Many of you know but some might not. Here at the Hess House we are also known as White Star Acres. We have jersey cows, Nigerian dwarf and fainting goats, rabbits, turkeys, chickens, ducks and sometimes pigs.
This past Friday afternoon we welcomed triples and despite mom’s greatest efforts to feed she is having a difficult time due to edema of her udder. So into the house they go!
Friends meet Frostbite (Frosty), Rudy and Winter)
Boots loves having some play time with mom. They are just the cutest. Aussiedoodles are just so fun and personable! #MomLife #PuppyLove #whitestaraussiedoodles #RaisingPuppies #doodlelovers #doodle #miniaussiedoodles

Wobble ball
When I found these wobble balls I knew we needed them! This morning Boots was in heaven! She had so much fun and crashed hard afterwards in her crate. ❤️

Raising puppies is one of my greatest passions, but it definitely comes with its challenges. Having these sweet little furballs in my home constantly tests my patience, teaches me lessons, and pushes my limits in the best (and sometimes hardest) ways.
This week with all of the unexpected accidents has been a reminder to roll with the punches and, more importantly, to accept things as they are instead of turning small issues into big ones. Stressing over the unknown doesn’t solve anything, so I’ve focused on what I can control and tried to live more in the moment.
By shifting my mindset, I’m able to give these pups the best care possible while also being present for my family and finding balance in my life.
Even though this week has been difficult, I’m grateful for the lessons it has brought me. Every challenge is an opportunity to grow, and I’m learning to appreciate that more each day.

It’s time for another puppy tip! Having a puppy around the house is a lot like having a toddler—if it’s out, they’ll find it, and it’s going straight into their mouths. It’s not their fault, and they’re not being naughty. Puppies will be puppies! Chewing is a natural behavior for them, and there are several reasons they love to do it: •Teething: Just like babies, puppies go through a teething phase. Chewing helps relieve discomfort as their new teeth come in. •Exploration: Puppies experience the world through their mouths, so chewing is one way they learn about their environment. •Boredom or energy release: Chewing can be a way to burn off excess energy or entertain themselves. •Soothing: Chewing can be calming and comforting, especially when they’re feeling stressed or adjusting to a new home. Today’s tip: Before letting your puppy explore, make sure your house is cleaned up, and never let a young pup adventure without your full attention. Allowing your puppy full access to the chaos of a lived-in home can lead to bad habits and, worse, potential injuries. Keeping your home “puppy-ready” is essential for their safety and success. As a mom of six kids with a busy life, I know firsthand that keeping the house in order can feel overwhelming—sometimes even impossible. But this is one non-negotiable in our home, and it’s worth it. When our pups aren’t spending time with us around the house, they’re having crate time. While most of her siblings have already gone to their new homes, Dulce is staying with us a little longer alongside her accident-prone sisters until we can confirm her heart is healthy (she may have a potential heart murmur). Her future family is patiently waiting, but we want to ensure she’s in the clear before she joins them.Clearly, she’s absolutely miserable here and not getting any extra attention—just look at that teddy bear! #aussiedoodles #merledoodles #christmastime #whitestaraussiedoodles #falllitter #adventurepup #dulcetheteddybear #shesadream #puppytime #doodlelove #doodle #embarktested
