Clarion P.A.W.S. This page is for the business of saving feline lives & information pertinent to that subject. Our team is entirely made up of volunteers from our community.

​We are a No-Kill Feline Adoption Center in Western Pennsylvania, just outside of Clarion, PA
​ and part of the No More Homeless Pets movement that is sweeping across the United States. Most all of them either go to school or work full-time outside of PAWS

Our Director, Board Members, Cleaners, Fosters, Social Media Contributors and Adoption Staff ​give graciously of their time, energy and often

their homes and finances to make PAWS a reality. Our community gives generously to help us provide for the needs of our feline residents
​with monetary donation ​as well as donations of kitty litter, food, toys, beds, cleaning supplies, etc.

CARRIE UPDATE

The diagnosis is in! The veterinary dermatopathologist believes that Carrie has vitiligo!

She is one rare kitty indeed. She is happy, comfortable, and ready for a new home. Vitiligo does not cause discomfort, so we do not expect it to affect her quality of life. Carrie may develop some cool white fur patterns in the future.

Our supplies are replenished, and our parking lot is mostly ice free! Please take care if parking near the far end of our parking lot - there are some water runoff issues we plan to address in the warmer seasons.

Still waiting on Carrie's results, but this photo was too cute not to share.

A bunch of folks asked if it could be thyroid issues - the vets don't think so. She doesn't have any noticeable side effects other than the change in appearance, so we are very glad she doesn't appear uncomfortable. We will keep you updated!

Look at Pyra go! Pyra is such a smart cat, and we're sad to see she is still here. She likes to play tag and hide & seek with volunteers. Pyra does okay with other cats but would also do well by herself. We think she would be fine with a dog as well.

Wade keeps interrupting important construction work, so he is getting taped. This appears to keep him distracted.
