We’ve received several phone calls and questions related to our recent posts. There seems to be much confusion that we’d like clear up…we are 𝙁𝙤𝙧 𝙎𝙖𝙡𝙚, but 𝙉𝙊𝙏 going out of business or closing! We are also having some great sales right now, but not clearance or going out of business sales. We have no plans to close the store at this time, and are hopeful that new owners will want to continue with this thriving business!

In 1981, Dennis and Kathy Troyer began a new life together and a new adventure. Troyer's Saddlery was formed, initially selling mostly to other small retailers and following the weekly and monthly horse sale circuit.

In 1992, the current building was built and the business expanded into a full retail store, offering everything for the horse and the horse lover. Troyer's has always felt fortunate to be able to serve the equine industry in a variety of ways.

Dennis and Kathy enjoyed serving the community and helping people pursue their passions, especially watching 4-H kids grow up over the years. There are now 2nd generation families coming in to do their shopping.

On Feb. 27, 2023, Dennis suffered a fatal cardiac event. Kathy has continued to keep the store operational, with the help of very competent people surrounding her. After 43 years, it is time for her to retire from full-time commitments and move on. Her desire is to see Troyer’s Saddlery continue and to move forward, both in the store front and the online market.

The retail business, including all of the inventory, but not the real estate, is now being offered for sale. If you have an interest and would like more information, please leave a message on our page or call the store at 260-768-7135.

We want to thank all of our customers for your patience while the store was closed last week for inventory. We did complete our inventory and learned that we are overstocked on some things, so we’ve decided to have an Inventory Reduction 🅢🅐🅛🅔 from now thru the end of June!

We will be closed the week of May 27th for Memorial Day and performing inventory the remainder of the week. We will be open on the previous Saturday, May 25th and will reopen on Monday, June 3rd.
