The benefits to you in hiring a professional to care for your pet include:
• Knowing that your pet is in caring, skilled and loving hands
• Having the confidence that the pet sitter can deal with other issues - such as emergency first aid
• Not having to impose on family, friends, or neighbors
Not all pet sitters are created equal, nor are they all professional. When hiring a pet sitter, it is e
ssential to ensure you have chosen the right person to care for your beloved animal. I am licensed and insured. My goal is to provide your pet with skilled and loving care. I limit overnight care to 2-3 dogs per night. This allows me to focus on your dog's needs and to ensure their happiness, health, and safety. The same care is given to your cats and dogs when I check in on them in your home. All animals deserve compassionate care and positive reinforcement. I will not be a good fit for owners who use E collars to control their dogs. I am a kind and compassionate person. I have always put my pets' needs ahead of mine. I am stable and reliable. Before caring for animals, I was a successful litigation paralegal for 30 years. Because of my professional background, I am detail-oriented, well-organized, and professional. I strive to provide excellent customer service and a positive experience for my clients and their pets. I am certified in pet first aid and K9 body language. I want you to know that I am experienced and well-trained to address your pet's care needs. In the past, I volunteered at PAWS, a local no-kill shelter, as a Kennel Attendant. I cared for orphaned dogs and identified behavioral and health issues. My hands-on work taught me a lot about dog behavior and body language. I love all animals, especially dogs. I have had pets since I was a child, and I advocate for animal rights, including pets of people experiencing homelessness. I will treat your pet as my own and ensure they have a fun experience full of love, cuddles, adventures, and playtime. Dogs are pack animals and enjoy being with people. Some dogs have difficulty being alone, especially in a new environment. Because I no longer work outside my home, your pet will have 24/7 care and attention. Occasionally, I may have to leave the house to run errands. I am typically not gone for more than 2 to 4 hours and prefer that your dog is crate trained for their safety while I am away. If they are not, I have other options to keep your pet safely contained while I am away. While caring for your cat or dog in your home, I will ensure your pet is safe, healthy, and content. I will spend time playing and snuggling with your beloved furry companion. I have room for 2-3 dogs. If the dogs are from different families, I always assess the second dog's behavior in a meet and greet. I will tell owners who have already booked that I plan to care for a second dog. I will provide detailed information about the second dog, including behavior and my thoughts about bringing the second dog into the home. I only accept bookings for dogs I have had an opportunity to meet. Clients will be asked to immediately make arrangements to have their dog picked up if it shows any aggressive behavior. My drop off and pick up hours are 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. I ask that you pick up at the same time or earlier than your drop-off time. If pick-up is an hour or more later, an additional fee will be added per hour past the original drop-off time. Please do not hesitate to ask me any questions or concerns regarding my hours and fees. "Meet and Greets" are scheduled from 11 am - 6 pm, Sunday through Saturday. I am looking forward to caring for your pets. Why I love dog sitting:
I love all animals, especially the companionship of a dog. It's true, they are man's best friend. About my yard:
My townhome is located on 7 acres of fenced, forest-like property. There are plenty of places to potty, trails to explore, and parks in the neighborhood to visit. I love walking, and your dog will get plenty of exercise. My experience administering medication:
Yes - I have many years of experience giving oral, topical, injectable, and intravenous medication, including Sub-Q fluids. I am semi-retired, allowing me to be home most of the day. I have a flexible schedule. I can spend plenty of time with your pet in play and exercise and provide potty breaks at least every four hours. My drop-in services are between 8 am - 7 pm. I have a deck where your dog can spend supervised time sunning him or herself. All doors are open once your pet is leashed. The Interurban Trail is near, allowing for safe, long walks. I also will take your pup to the off-leash dog park if that is where your pup enjoys playing. While in your home, I take all necessary precautions to ensure that your pet does not escape and is always safe.
