You may have heard the news of the microchip company Save This Life suddenly going out of business and deactivating their microchip directory. Cats Exclusive uses PetLink for our microchips, so if your cat was chipped with us, their information is intact. You can use the AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup (https://www.aaha.org/for-veterinary-professionals/microchip-search/) to determine which company or companies your pet's chip is registered with.

If your pet has a Save This Life chip, the chip itself still works! However, you will need to register it with a new microchip company. Unsure of your cat's chip number? Reach out to us - we may have your cat's chip number in their file!

After scanning lost pet, enter the number into the microchip registry tool to search for the manufacturer of the chip.

Starting tomorrow morning, things will be a little different at CEVC -- we'll be doing rounds!

Every morning staff will be gathering prior to appointments to discuss everything from upcoming appointments to staffing to boarding cats to new and interesting advances in veterinary medicine! This will help with our overall efficiency and ability to serve our patients and clients as well as help each other out behind the scenes.

Our doors will still open at 8:00 AM every day, and nothing will change about our posted business hours. If you don't see a receptionist when you first walk in the door, don't worry! They'll be back quickly to give you a hand.

Happy Lunar New Year! While we're all cat fans here, many members of our staff have other animals in their house - including dogs, chickens, rats, horses, and snakes! This is Amelia, who lives with our vet assistant Jessi, and she wanted to invite you all to celebrate the Year of the Snake!

Dr. Amanda Perkins is pleased to announce that she has been certified as a Diplomate by the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners (ABVP) specializing in Feline Practice.

Dr. Perkins mastered a rigorous and demanding application process and certification examination in order to obtain Diplomate status. To qualify to sit for the extensive, all-day examination, a veterinarian must complete either a residency program or at least six years of clinical veterinary practice. In addition, two case reports, references, descriptions of practice procedures, and professional education records must be submitted and pass review.

Dr. Perkins is proud to serve our patients at Cats Exclusive and to practice alongside our awesome team!

'Twas the night before Christmas, and down at the vet,
Boarding kitties were purring with all their needs met.

Dinner was served and all had been fed,
And the kitties all curled up into their beds.

The vets and their helpers were home for the night,
Knowing the kitties were snuggled up tight.

The following day, the staff would be in,
To make sure all were fed and well cared for again.

At CEVC, the cats snoozed away.
Waiting for catnip and treats on Christmas Day.

For even when you can't be home with your friend,
We'll make sure they're cared for, we're here to attend.
