Dr. Amanda Perkins is pleased to announce that she has been certified as a Diplomate by the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners (ABVP) specializing in Feline Practice.

Dr. Perkins mastered a rigorous and demanding application process and certification examination in order to obtain Diplomate status. To qualify to sit for the extensive, all-day examination, a veterinarian must complete either a residency program or at least six years of clinical veterinary practice. In addition, two case reports, references, descriptions of practice procedures, and professional education records must be submitted and pass review.

Dr. Perkins is proud to serve our patients at Cats Exclusive and to practice alongside our awesome team!

'Twas the night before Christmas, and down at the vet,
Boarding kitties were purring with all their needs met.

Dinner was served and all had been fed,
And the kitties all curled up into their beds.

The vets and their helpers were home for the night,
Knowing the kitties were snuggled up tight.

The following day, the staff would be in,
To make sure all were fed and well cared for again.

At CEVC, the cats snoozed away.
Waiting for catnip and treats on Christmas Day.

For even when you can't be home with your friend,
We'll make sure they're cared for, we're here to attend.

Cats need a place to scratch and sharpen their claws - so why not give them a new scratcher for the holidays? Many staff kitties love cardboard scratchers like these, which offer a variety of shapes and ways to scratch! Some have built in toys as well for extra entertainment. The nooks and crannies in the cardboard are perfect for holding lots of catnip to help encourage your kitty to use them!

So many kitties love treats, and we're happy to oblige them with an extra yummy snack! Freeze-dried meat treats such as Life Essentials chicken and salmon and Fresh is Best chicken necks came in near the top of our staff picks. These treats are high in protein and perfect for our carnivorous kitties.

When it comes to toys, there were two brands that were the clear winners among our staff - Yeowww! catnip toys and Wicked Kitty toys, especially the kickers! Both of these toy brands stuff their toys with potent catnip, making them a favorite among felines. They come in colorful shapes and patterns for a variety of playtime antics. As a bonus, Wicked Kitty toys are made locally by our LVT Sarah! You can find both of these brands in our shop.
