**Are You a 'Good' Dog Owner?**
Have you ever wondered if you truly understand your dog? Do you think giving them constant affection is enough? Are you aware that dogs are all built differently? The breed is its tactical gear. Examples: A Husky can travel for days, but all dogs travel. A Border Collie can herd sheep, but all dogs herd. A Retriever can fetch endlessly, but all dogs fetch. Each breed may have a specialized task, but all dogs share the same instincts and needs.
What would you do for your dog? Anything? Really? Are you willing to walk them for an hour every day *before* you feed them? Are you willing to give them the structure and routine they need to feel balanced?
If your dog shows unwanted behaviors, could it be due to an unbalanced lifestyle? Do you know that dogs need physical and mental challenges every day—challenges that make them feel like they’ve worked for their food and water? Dogs are predators by nature. They need to hunt, chase, and feel a sense of purpose, just as their ancestors did.
If you’ve fallen into the trap of giving affection constantly without realizing that love is a gift that must be earned in their world, it’s time for a change. If your dog is displaying unwanted behaviors, chances are they’re simply unbalanced and craving a more fulfilled life.
