ACTION ALERT: THE OCEAN NEEDS YOUR VOICE!
Public Meetings Wednesday, 6/21, & Thursday, 6/22, for
Atlantic Shores 1 & 2 Offshore Wind Projects

Take action to defend the ocean by attending public meetings this week and asking questions about the Atlantic Shores Offshore Wind Projects 1 & 2 in Manahawkin and Atlantic City, NJ. These “open house public meetings” hosted by the federal Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) are not acceptable replacements for public hearings at which people speak directly to agency decision makers and officials in a public forum and on the record.

Instead, BOEM is holding “informal, open houses” where staff are available to answer questions about the projects. According to BOEM, there will be a court reporter available “to meet individually” for no more than 5 minutes per person for people who want to share thoughts on the record for Atlantic Shores’ Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS).
