Dr. Elliott found this surprise while she was examining a blood smear for one of our four-legged friends.
These worm-like creatures are tiny larvae produced by adult heartworms and circulate in the bloodstream.

Heartworm disease is spread by mosquitoes, which can pass the parasite from an infected animal to another animal.
🫀 Regular heartworm prevention helps protect pets from this potentially serious disease.

Annual heartworm tests must be ran to make sure the prevention is doing its job, and it allows us to get you regular refills of prevention!

Today, we’re shining the spotlight on Snyder, a handsome 5-year-old Boxer! ❤️ Snyder has been part of our clinic family since 2022, and he’s always a joy to see. He has the sweetest attitude, loves soaking up all the attention, and never says no to a good pawdicure. 🐶💅

Good morning everyone! Creekside is hiring! We're looking for up to two full or part-time employees to serve as Veterinary Technicians or Assistants. You'l be working with Dr. Elliott and Dr. Johnson doing a variety of functions including safe handling and restraint of a variety of small and large animals, venipuncture, placement of IV catheters, anesthetic monitoring, dental cleanings, assisting in radiology, and obtaining accurate medical records.

Ideal candidates will possess strong communication, organizational, interpersonal, and technical skills. Experience is preferred but not required. Meet Boomer, a sweet Golden Retriever who’s been coming to see us since he was a puppy! He’s a familiar face around the clinic, always arriving with a wagging tail, and leaving *just a few* treats heavier😉. He makes visits easy and always brings good energy with him. Thanks for being a great patient, Boomer!

Happy National Pet Hydration Month! We want to stress the importance of keeping our furry family members hydrated during the hottest part of the summer. Heat stroke is no joke, and can happen in temperatures as low as 70 degrees outdoors. Remember to always have water available, and be mindful of the temperature when playing outdoors.
