Our Story

We’re a small hobby breeder located just outside of Champaign. Our chinchillas are bred from pedigree chins but we also get in a few rescue chinchillas as well. We don’t have babies available all the time so please know you may have to wait for a litter.

We breed Whites, ebonys, beige, tans and standards and occasionally we have a TOV. Our chins range in price from $100 to $250 (give or take) depending on colour and over all build.

We do deposits on babies once they reach a weight or age I feel is comfortable. Deposits are $25 and count towards the final price at pick up. Deposits are non refundable unless on our end. We will arrange a pick up date and if we do no hear from you within 3 days of missed pick up date, the deposit then becomes forfeited and the chinchilla goes back up for sale. (I will send lots of messages prior to doing this) All chinchillas bred here come with a 30 day health guarantee. !!This does not included rescues or rescues born here!! If something happens to the chinchilla, a vet exam or a necropsy will be needed. I can replace the chinchilla when another becomes available or nurse the said chinchilla back to health for you so long as the vet report says the illness or injury happened while at my ranch. The Cahill Chinchilla Ranch does not cover vet bills of any kind unless the chin is in our care and seeing our vet.
