POLES IN NORMANDY 🇫🇷

On D-Day, June, 6, 1944, Allied forces launched Operation 'Overlord', a combined naval, air and land operation in France. The Allied landings on five beaches - Utah, Omaha, Gold, Juno and Sword – marked the start of a long and bloody campaign to liberate north-west Europe from German occupation.

Polish airmen and several Polish other units took part in missions on D-Day protecting the landing operations.

On 6th of June, 1944, 131st Polish Wing as part of the Allied Air Forces, was tasked with providing low cover to American forces landing on Utah Beach.

In the mission codenamed “Ramrod 976”, pilots from the 133 Polish Fighter Wing under the command of Stanislaw Skalski escorted Stirling glider tugs that towed aircraft packed with paratroopers. On that day, the Poles also provided close support and air cover for the American 82nd and 101st airborne divisions.

Throughout the entire month of June three Polish squadrons flying Spitfire: No. 302 ‘City of Poznan’, 308 ‘City of Krakow’ and 317 ‘City of Wilno’ continued to support the landing operations in the Utah beach sector.

Several Polish Navy and Merchant Navy vessels supported the allied forces.
ORP Dragon light cruiser managed to stop German coast artillery near the Sword Beach sector, and two days later it destroyed 6 tanks of German 21st Panzer Division.
The 1st Polish Armoured Division landed later in the campaign and played a critical role in the battle of the Argentan-Falaise Pocket and in opening the way for the Allies to liberate Paris.

After landing in France, the Polish “Black Division” was tasked with breaking the German defence in the Caen-Falaise sector. Polish soldiers entered the battle on August, 8.
Ten days later, they encircled and destroyed the German 5th Panzer Corps positioned in the Chambois area.

Today we honor and remember the heroic soldiers - American and our allies, and the animals by their side - who stormed the beaches of Normandy on 6th June 1944; their unwavering courage forged the way to peace that many would tragically never see. Their bravery and sacrifice will never be forgotten.

Together we remember

This week is National Nursing Home Week. In recognition, we catered lunch for Windsor Gardens with the help 👍🌮
Cute cute.cute
I am going to explain what exactly I do for pets, there seems to be many in the public who dont seem to understand what animal advocates do, we are all volunteer workers, we take seminars, we work in groups helping abused pets, we help find good homes for pets, we are advocates at state level, campaigning to get stricter pet abuse laws, we fight fight against puppy mills, ,
Now most recently ,my name was given out with information that is not true to what I do. Because if this I'm having to monitor my phone, I refuse to answer to any number I do not know. Any one who is trying to reach me for grooming may leave a message,
I have family in FL, many calls come from numbers if family, of there is an emergency with my family I want to be able to pick up my phone, but for now with a call I got from FL, I can't just answer my phone,
I want every person to know I won't ever be a person that will help the puppy mill breeder people get any kind of pet back. I stood on a corner during a pretrial, I help stop pet abuse, I help stop puppy mills, I'm not with the SPCA as a local business person, was said to have told the person wanting French bull dogs that were highly mistreated and in a fire, she wants me to help her get them back, Grrrrrrrrrrr she has to be a real ignorant person to think I'd help her in any way. No she barked up the wrong telephone pole,

Indiana 600 Pitt bulls rescued
UPDATE,, 9PM THURSDAY, earlier we picked up two of Molly's kittens. Just now received. A call the momma of the six babies and one or two more of Molly's babies have been located, I will pick up tomorrow afternoon, Amy Hill worked hard lining up Rescue however life line was full ,,so possibly Tuesday I will be going to Marion oh where I have spoke with rescue, these babies and mommies will once old enough be fixed and get great adoptive homes. If you see a family in need of help, please help them, if they need spay neuter direct them to the program,,, or if it's an emergency jump in help them, these babies and stray cats were so loved by this elderly lady she wanted to make sure they were going to be OK and get homes. They will get homes,, I know how much stress has been taken off this family,

UPDATE ON KITTEN CAT RESCUE, ,the owner was able to catch 2 more of Molly's babies and the momma to the 6 babies that Molly is feeding, momma got loose again, but we have 2 babies so now we have 9 babies one momma,, also the big white momma that is the mother of Molly, the name we gave the momma we have here, and the grandmother of all the babies, is due soon to have another litter, , I'm adding these two from this evening in the folder of pictures.

As of this moment, all 100 dog dealers in our Horrible Hundred report are still in operation, despite having been found with serious violations in their state or federal inspection reports, including disease outbreaks or fraud charges. It’s difficult to fathom how places like these continue to operate despite shocking instances of documented neglect and mistreatment of the dogs in their care. This cannot continue.

You can help stop this by telling the USDA to stop licensing problem puppy mills! https://hsus.link/5qenie
OK here is what we do far have accomplished, this poor lady is reaching out for help, there is a wood pile full of large large cats. Females and males but mostly females, none are fixed, so babies after babies are being produced at a rate that's impossible for any household to feed, and we all know elderly turn lives to feeding pets, as we all love them and they should not go hungry. We were unable so far to not locate the new borns, momma may have moved them so they can't be seen. The ones under the porch we have one grey one that was still on the porch from eating time, don't foid two that size were spotted at a neighbors but ran and hid, we got one mom and 6, 2 week old babies,, I only had an old crate to leave this lady but she will wait for the walking ones to surface, the tiny grey momma took off for the wood pile, and one other momma surfaced but ran for the wood pile and ran circles sneaking around the house, , so as much as our goal was to get all 3 mommas and babies, it was not able to happen, pray the others surface tonight before it storms, I did tell this sweet lady I can come back, she will inform her daughter if she gets or is able to locate them,,, the only thing this sweet lady asked was that they not be killed or put down, I assured her they will have homes and safe places to be
