Update: We are still closed. We are hoping to open asap. But currently we don’t have power or internet at our offices and access to gas is too limited to put our trucks on the roads and know with confidence that we can continue working day after day at this point. Additionally only a very few of our employees have power at home. Please be patient with us as we navigate the best way to get back up and running. -Ashley

Last weekend we got our continuing education on at Groom Texas! Part of our benefits package gives long term employees the opportunity to attend grooming shows and go to continuing Ed classes all expense paid. Although we don’t offer any pet dying services it was super cool to watch the creative grooming competition and see some rare breeds we don’t often get to see.

Help! My Dog Might Have Fleas/Ticks!
Unfortunately, dogs are often easy targets when playing in the yard or going for a walk in wooded areas. If you’re a pet owner, don’t forget to check your furry friend frequently for ticks, especially after walks or playtime, and regularly wash bedding and plush toys. If you have an indoor/outdoor cat, be sure to check it regularly for ticks too.
Ticks don’t jump or fly. Instead, through a process called questing they crawl up low brush or grass to find a host. Then, they clasp on with their back legs and reach their front legs out to grab onto a passing animal.

Sometimes our little furry friends get pretty spooked when we have to dry them! 😳
Fortunately for us, we can just pull out our happy hoodies! 😉
These little bands are basically ear muffs for dogs made out of the same material as a towel! The happy hoodie muffles the sound of the dryer, provides a calm vibe, and also absorbs a lot of water! 😌

Another commonly asked question we get asked is, “how often should my dogs nails be trimmed?” for most clients we recommend monthly nail trims. However if your pups nails are very long, we recommend trimming every 2 weeks.
Regularly trimming your dogs nails will cause the nerve inside the nail to recede, allowing the nails to be trimmed shorter over time.
Many call to book a nail trim when they notice their dogs nails scratching up their hardwood floor.
