We are always happy to provide demo dogs for Charity events. This was a super fun event! It was to help the Welton Police Department raise money for their K9 Program. If anyone would like to donate, please reach out directly to them.

Everyone loved watching the Spaniels work. These Spaniels are four months old, and they were not distracted by the crowd. They stayed on task. These dogs are incredible. Huge thanks to Rockey's Kennels for breeding top notch working dogs!

K9 Sage. One of the reasons these English Spaniels make such great detection dogs is because they have great environmentals. These dogs have solid genetics from Rockey's Kennels. Solid genetics paired with great training makes an amazing dog.

These dogs love to climb, go under and over everything. They are very confident with high hunt drive.

They do great on the street. They also make great School Resource Officer K9s.

Meet K9 Honor. Female, German Shepherd Dog. She is in our Police Dog Program. She is in training as an Explosives Detection Dog.

She came from Got Your Six K9 Rescue.
When this K9 is finished and goes to her future Department, a portion will be donated to the rescue. This rescue specializes in working lines that have been surrendered.

We are on week 4, for our Professional Dog Trainer’s Course. We had our students work all of the working dogs on the obstacle course. We discussed the importance of confidence building, environmentals, and pressure on/pressure off.

K9 Stinger loved all the treats and attention.

We do not allow our K9s to become handler dependent. We build independence by making it about the work and not the anchor at the end of the leash. Keeping a K9 Independent is one of our biggest stressers in our handler courses. It is one of the #1 issues handlers create in their Police K9s.

We do multiple exercises to correct this and teach you how to take a goood working dog and build it into an outstanding one.

When you work hard first thing in the morning and its barely 0900 hours.

K9 Sage enjoying a jump into the water trough after a long morning of working environmentals on the obstacle course. Surface changes, and being handled by different trainers, in order to avoid handler dependence. Everything should be about the work itself for the K9, not the dummy at the end of the leash.

Our dogs are not handler depedent. They will climb anything and go on any surface.
