The City's Animal Control Officers recently worked with Arizona Game & Fish to release racoons into the wild that were taken in by the shelter earlier this year.

In Arizona, it’s illegal to keep raccoons and other wildlife as pets (A.R.S. §17-306). If you encounter wildlife, leave them be! For help with nuisance wildlife, contact Animal Control or AZ Game & Fish for guidance.
