Our Story
Cochise County in SE Arizona is home to 9 different kinds of Rattlesnakes (including the Ridge-nosed Rattlesnake, Arizona's State Reptile), more Rattlesnake species than any other location in the United States. Rattlesnakes can be found in the desert areas to the tops of the several mountain ranges within the County. We offer the most effective and safe way to train your dog to recognize and stay away from a Rattlesnake and avoid a painful, traumatic, expensive and possibly fatal bite from a Rattlesnake. We do not hold classes or clinics as taking your dog to a strange location and unfamiliar surroundings will have too many distractions for the dog to effectively learn. We come to your home to train your dog where the dog is familiar with and comfortable with the surroundings. Your dog is trained to recognize a Rattlesnake by sight, smell and the rattling sound and to stay away from the snake. We take the time to train your dog individually to make certain that he/she recognizes a Rattlesnake by the individual smell, sight and the sound of a Rattlesnake and stays away from the snake. We encourage the participation of the dog owner during the training so that they can see for themselves that their dog is learning during the training process. We have successfully trained over 600 dogs since 2007. The trainer is an expert snake handler with over 40 years of experience working and studying Rattlesnakes. We are dog owners also and understand the importance of this type of training to help keep your beloved pet safe from an encounter with a Rattlesnake. Along with training your dog, we will educate the dog owner and their family about rattlesnakes and how to identify a Rattlesnake from a harmless, non-venomous snake and ways to avoid a confrontation with a Rattlesnake. We serve all of Cochise County and nearby areas and we are Veterinarian recommend.
