Why we opened a pet facility
Opening my own dog and care boarding facility has been a dream of mine for the last 15 years. I knew I needed steady income so I waited until I could retire from the military first. In 16 years I have never boarded my own dogs and always had a trusted friend watch them for me. I would fly her from Maryland to stay at me house while we vacationed. I never trusted another facility to care for my dogs the way I could. With that in mind I designed TailTopia. I wanted a place I felt comfortable leaving my own dogs and a place that would feel like a vacation for them also. Like many pet families my animals tend to come first and I did not want them locked away in a kennel run all day with little human interactions, I also did not feel I should break the bank to pay for them to get a few minutes of time with staff each day. My pets are my family and they need and want human compassion, love and attention. TailTopia was designed to give all of that. We don’t charge for your dogs to be turned out in play yards or to get belly rubs and playtime with our caregivers. People comment all the time how quiet our place is when they walk in. That is because the dogs are happy and content. We can see and hear everything from our reception desk. Dogs are let out every few hours so they can stretch their legs and go to the bathroom, no body want a place were their dogs potty in the runs and have to sleep near it. I designed the facility to be small, this allows us to know our guest, human and 4 legged, and we are able to keep a better eye on what is going on. Dogs and cats do not get lost in the crowd. We hope to see you all again and look forward to meeting new guest.
