Maxx and Liberty's final litter got to enjoy the beautiful fall sunshine yesterday. They have their going home vet appointment next week and are looking forward to finding forever homes. :)

Sage and Willow went for a short road trip with us for their first ever high school football game. Willow, at almost 4 years old, still refuses to sit anywhere besides directly in the middle of the seat. Sage isn't sure she doesn't prefer solo rides. :)

On our way back from Grandpas appointment, we found a nice boat launch which quickly turned into a Jo launch.

This was my first opportunity to take Jo to the river. She is a quiet, sweet dog. Fairly passive and gentle. Until she hits the water!

As you can see She hits the water like an old pro! Good job Little Jo!

(I do believe these were her very first water retrieves as the pond on the farm has dried up since she was born.)

On this day 8 years ago, our little Dennis The Menace met his match, our sweet Liberty Belle. She was gifted to us from a family member and has been a great blessing to our family every since.

When we were kids, our dad's Chocolate Lab Haley would always get up and go to the back door then wait. About 3 minutes later, the truck would come driving down the road and our dad would be home. She would sit, eyes locked onto the door k**b, waiting until he walked in. Every single time.

This morning, I was sitting on the bed, reading a book when Sage jumped up and stared out the window. Patiently waiting. About 3 or 4 minutes later, our truck came rolling down the driveway and my husband was home. She then turned around, headed to the door and waiting for him to walk through the door.

Nearly 20 years later, new truck, new dogs, new bloodlines, but the same routine.

It is really amazing how far away the dogs can recognize the sounds of their people coming home.

My little Shot Gun rider Wyatt.

Watching him try to figure out how to load into the pick up on his own was pretty comical. He knows what to do, but just isn't quite big enough to do it on his own. :)

Spending extra time with puppies and watching how they come together is such a neat experience.

I will really miss this little guy when he moves on. He's such a cool dude!

Maize is the last of the Liberty x Otso puppies. (She will go to her new mom very soon). She is 8 weeks older than these little guys. She had a blast running through the side yard with the little guys.
